  1. I legitmately fell out of my chair laughing when I imagined someone just using a SPOON to scoop out liquid Lerasium, or whatever the Investiture manifested as in the well of ascension. Like using a literal ladle to scoop it into a bowl and like adding noodles or something. In fact, heres a question; what would have happened if Vin DRANK the liquid in the well? (Preferably containing some ramen, eggs, and seasoning).
  2. Yes. Kelsier, however, was COMPLETELY unexpected for me; of course, the whole thing with Marsh's hemalurgy and Sazed's ascension are suprising, bus kelsier literally DIED in the first book of Era 1, which for me removd any chance of his return. As for Spook, I really think he could serve as a MAJOR part of the plot if he is still there in Era 3. Though BS will need to explain where he was throughout Era 2, if he does appear in Era 3. I have a theory, which I concede is a bit unlikely, that Spook has been headed to Harmony's perpendicularity, guided by Sazed. Though I have no idea why he would do so. I just thought it would be an interesting twist.
  3. Theoretically, Spook could still be alive and I hope he shows up in Era 3. Spook is, in all likelyhood, Kelsier's greatest ally at the moment; I believe Spook worked for Kelsier the same way Wax worked for Harmony; Kind of like the "Sword of Kelsier" kind of thing, at least while Kel didn't have a physical form. I am also unsure about the creation of the bands of mourning, however. It was stated that they would grant ALL allomantic and Feruchemical powers, so says the coppermind, I have some confusion about this: only HEMALURGY can grant Feruchemical and Allomantic power, while the coppermind implies it is a METALMIND, and feruchemy cannot grant other powers. This, I think, implies there is some other manifestation of Investiture on Scadrial, or at least some unknown metal or way you can use feruchemy.
  4. Thank you for the clarification.
  5. Thank you for the theory, currently hoping all will be revealed in Era 3. I also find it ironic and kind of hilarious how Kelsier, who dies in the very first book of Era 1, somehow ends up being the only remaining member of the original crew in Era 2 and eventually Era 3.
  6. Wait, so are the atium geodes a result of Preservation trapping Ruin's poer (or "body", as they call it in the Era1 series) or a result of the presence of Ruin's perpendicularity?
  7. Thanks, that helped a lot.
  8. Wassing the wishing of the learning of saying the say of High Imperial, Wassing the wanting to learn Correct? I don't know.
  9. What would have happened it no one went to take the power at the well?
  10. Thanks! that helped.
  11. Wasing, means was doing, so says spook. Sanderson has also stated it means the past tence. Yet here: https://www.brandonsanderson.com/blogs/blog/annotation-mistborn-chapter-twenty-four-part-one?_pos=5&_sid=dac068f3f&_ss=r Where they translate the conversation with spook, Ham, and Kelsier about breeze, Wasing seems to mean Am. ANY OTHER TIPS ON HIGH IMPERIAL WELCOME.
  12. ... An Invested Hat. Certainly a fascinating concept.
  13. ... Well, if it has gotten to the point that F-15s have been invented, this would DEFINITELY be beyond Era 2, meaning there are guns. At this point, Mistborn powers would COMPLETELY diluted, BARELY effective. At this point, I'm guessing a Mistborn would just try to shoot the Fuselage, and bring down the plane in one hit. No allomancy lmao. But say it is spook. Then, I would say he Pulls himself onto the Fighter Jet... Then just shoots the pilot in the head. No messing around with Pewter or anything, it's unecessary. If he didn't have a gun, I would say his best bet is still taking out the pilot, as aiming for the engine at this proximity could cause damage to him, even with pewter.
  14. I can't lie, I want Keanu Reeves to play the Lord Ruler. Or an Inquisitor. Or Marsh. I would say David Tennant would make a pretty interesting Kelsier. Oh, and PLEASE get Stephen Fry to be Breeze. And I also want to see Rowan Atkinson to be Sazed LMAO.
  15. So, a Perpendicularity is where a Shard's power is focussed, yes? In the case of Preservation it was the well, in the case of Ruin it was the pits and for Harmony its somewhere in the south (so says the coppermind). And both Ruin's and Preservation's (IDK harmony) Perpendicularity manifests as a pool of liquid. The Kandra homeland is also beneath the Pits. Is Ruin's Perpendicularity in the homeland? What would have happened if a Kandra jumped in? DID a Kandra jump in? Also, HOW did Preservation take away some of Ruin's power? I know Leras put it in circulation around Hathsin, so atium geodes began to form, but that is all very vague I think.
  16. Does that mean the Pits of Hathsin are also emitting a Pure Tone of Scadrial? Both the pits and the well are perpendicularities of shards. Does that ALSO mean Harmony's Perpendicularity is emitting THE pure tone of Scadrial?
  17. In Era 2, Kelsier doesn't have allomancy or feruchemy (Hopefully BS shed on light on how he made the bands of mourning in Era 3). Feruchemy is understandable, he NEVER had feruchemy. But WHAT ABOUT ALLOMANCY? When he died, it seemed like he had lost it, as he couldn't burn anything. He didn't have his abilities as a cognitive shadow, or when he took physical form. Allomancy is hereditary, and draws on the power of preservation. But I am not sure where it is "contained". Let me elaborate. It has been stated that, according to realmatic theory, the way Snapping works is that a traumatic event creates a "crack" in the soul where the power can "fit" into. But when an allomancer dies, what happens to the power? Why doesn't it stay with them? And what exactly IS allomantic power? I know it is of preservation, drawing on investiture, but where EXACTLY is this ability in the "soul" or spiritweb, and where does it go if it doesnt stay after death?
  18. I'm pretty sure Wayne did something similar in the lost metal, yes. RAFO
  19. All fascinating concepts, but I'd say it depends on how difficult it is to store attributes, and how long it takes. If it take like MASSIVE amounts of effort to store ferchemical Attributes, then I understand how this would be torture e.g. having to exert all your will to store heat as a firesoul. But if it's kinda automatic, like how burning is in allomancy, then it wouldn't really be an issue for them; when they are first dipped into the meta, their legs would come out coated in Brass, allowing them to store heat without relying on being dipped into the brass. Also, when they are eventually incase waist down in brass, i undestand how that in itself is torture, but they can store heat in the brass, so even if it is super hot it won't really have much of an effect. It also depends how long it takes to store heat in brass; if it takes AN extended period of time, it's painful; but if it happens instantly.... they're chilling.
  20. Thanks that helped! So what you are saying is that Mistwraiths are sapient, except the block on their Cognitive identity prevents them from really being sentient. And the spikes bring them to full sapiency, correct? One more question, this one on Kelsier: in the coppermind, it is stated that "A single Hemalurgic spike is enough to staple a Cognitive Shadow to a mistwraith, though whether this has happened in the past is unknown." Kelsier appeared in the second series of the Mistborn a VERY much alive, with a physical form, and many titles (e.g. the Sovereign, etc.) He also has a hemalurgic spike in his right eye. IS KELSIER A KANDRA? It is also stated in the coppermind that his bones survives the Catacendre, or Harmony's Acension ("His bones survived the Ascension of Harmony,[61] and may have helped him regain physical form.") So, was Kelsier's cognitive shadow attached to a mistwraith body, making it sentient, which then ingested his bones to retake his original form???? If this is the case, what of the Cognitive shadow of the actual Mistwraith? Was it kicked out of the physical form or does it share the body with Kelsier? Would it still have impaired cognitive ability? Furthermore, it was stated previously that 2 Hemalurgic spikes are enough to give a Mistwraith Sentience. What happens if it is only given one?
  21. In the Coppermind, it is stated HOW a kandra dies; e.g. " Kandra do not appear to die of natural causes, but they are not immortal, just incredibly long-lived.[14] One of the kandra secrets references the unknown acid mixture. Being bathed in acid can effectively kill a kandra, so this is one way how misbehaved kandra were executed in kandra homeland during the Final Empire with the other way being starvation. They can also be killed by fire.[13] Because of their ability to change shape, most damage to a kandra is of no consequence; they do feel normal physical pain as a result of trauma, though MeLaan has said that kandra have the ability to turn nerves off and thus experience no pain.[15] This leads to kandra guards mostly using hammers to break bones, thus hindering movement. A kandra digesting another kandra can perform the killing, but it is unknown if the two kandra will fight and try to eat each other during the process. After the Catacendre, the kandra develop a way to take their own lives at will. Also developed by the kandra post-Catacendre is a liquid which upon injection will incapacitate kandra and make them transparent, but will not make them unconscious.[16] Removing or destroying both of their spikes will revert them into a mistwraith.[17]" But it does not explain what EXACTLY happens. Let me elaborate. When a human or another sentient being dies, they briefly turn into a cognitive shadow, before going into the beyond, right? That is because they have souls. I am aware that non-living beings can also project some sort of cognitive aspect, so says the coppermind. Except what happens when Kandra die? Their sentience is contained in their blessings, is it not? Or at least, their blessings instill sentience. Furthermore, if a Kandra spike is used by a human, what happens? TenSoon used OreSeus Kandra spike without any adverse effects, as far as I know, so what happened to OreSeur's sentience? Does that mean it is not contained in the hemalurgic spike??
