Cosmere Adaptations Content Rating
Conure1243 replied to StormDad's topic in General Brandon Discussion
As far as I can tell, this hasn't been said already. You'll have to fact check me on this, but I believe with the last attempt at a Mistborn movie, the movie studio wanted to make an R-rated movie, but Brandon intervened with a hard no, telling them he wouldn't allow more than PG-13. I don't see why that would have changed. -

Let's be Radiant [WAT SPOILERS]
Conure1243 replied to KaladinsSenseOfHumourSpren's topic in Social Groups, Clans, & Guilds
Congratulations! I will be there for whoever needs me. I will step forward for those who fall back. My service will extend to any who except it. Actually had that come to mind a few days ago, but haven't been sure how to say it until now. (This is, for clarification, all just my second ideal.)- 1777 replies

Guess I should say the first ideal? Life before Death, Strength before Weakness, Journey before destination Stoneward (Most Likely,) Spren name is undetermined, she isn't sure what she wants to be called for now.- 1777 replies

Apple Buys Rights to Entire Cosmere!
Conure1243 commented on Chaos's article in Brandon and Book News
Same here, but I also hope that movie fans are similar enough to book fans that it doesn't make too big a difference discussion-wise. -
Cosmere Adaptation Announcement
Conure1243 replied to Treamayne's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Can't say I'm sure about how the visuals will look, but I do have hope for the idea in general. At least until given reason not to. -
Far as I can tell, nobody has said "Smart Stuff". I believe you have been the only one to say the phrase in this thread.

From the album: Glorified Doodles during class
Might adjust the pose and face a bit in the future, but this is the start of a Hoid drawing I'm doing. Scan was weird, so it doesn't all show up great. -
That might be the greatest reasoning I've ever seen in my life.

Hello! Welcome to the shard! If you had to spend at least one day on a cosmere planet, which one would it be?

Welcome to the Shard, Person who Now Exists! What is your opinion on? To be honest, I don't really know what to actually ask...

Say a person in modern day became a Skybreaker. They swear themselves to certain laws, but how strictly do they have to follow those laws? Could they break their oaths by jaywalking, for example? Could somebody change the law to make a Skybreaker accidentally break their oaths?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)

Granted, but as there is no actual thing to grant in that wish, it is also not granted. I wish to not have to get up so early. -
The fact that there is a school that decides to include an essay on the cultural meanings of something that literally means nothing, disappoints me. And makes me glad that I'm at the school that I am.

Makes sense, except Aluminum has its own effects on allomancy, so while this example could be relevant, it may not be the same as copper. A coppercloud doesn't exactly prevent allomancy, but it does hide signals of it, meaning it could hide the fact that a Shardblade has been summoned, (As previously mentioned). Somebody who is burning copper is immune to emotional allomancy, does that mean they can't be affected by a shardblade? Can prevent their limbs from being killed by a Blade? (I don't think either of those are the case.) Somebody who has easier access to RoW, could you remind me which metal is used in the suppression fabrial? (Assuming it specifies?) Is it aluminum or something else?
-
I'm not the only one that says this!! I wish that wasn't the case... or that it didn't have to be the case.
-
Me and my siblings were debating possible answers to the question: Could a Coppercloud block a Shardblade? My initial response was probably not block one, but stop one from being summoned? Possibly something like the Suppression Fabrials in Rhythm of War? Perhaps Living Blades are able to exist inside a Cloud? Or maybe none of those. I figured I'd bring this to the Sharders to get more input. Let me know what you think!
