The Thread pretty much has no 4th wall, and so characters who know they are being controlled by Authors will occasionally reference them as god-like beings.     That's correct, although the bribe was unnecessary. They pass through, and as they step out of the cloud of nanomachines, they appear at the foot of a roller coaster. Bacon (@xinoehp512) is sitting in one of the cars with another person. @Hawks, some of your characters are here. Stormcursed, I think Asharak is here as well?
