  1. I place a bubble of slowed time around you and the fish with legs stabbed to your armor begin to increase in size. Different place, different me
  2. *initiate confusion sequences*
  3. See I randomly owned #7 and I'm like, I don't care it's the middle of the series I'm gonna read it anyways. Suffice it to say that reading that was really fun, because they referenced a bunch of past events vaguely but I had no clue what they were and wasn't able to determine them, so it literally didn't spoil anything and it made it seem sort of like... reading WoK. And then I found #8 at a friend's house and read through that one. And then I was scorned for reading it in that order and told to read book 1, but it was kinda bland so I left it in the middle. So the next logical thing, having read 7 and 8, is to continue and read 8.5 But then I'm like "shoot I really need to know what happened before this" so I started just randomly reading the previous books. Except 2, because the cover of 2 looked cringe. And then 9 was released so I read it. And I finally just gave in and read book 2 because I kinda had to at that point.
  4. 7, 8, the first half of 1, 8.5, 5, 4, 6, 3, the second half of 1, 9, 2 I told you
  5. I read it! But the order in which I did so would break your brain.
  6. Taeidin blanches. "I cannot do that. The Narrator or the process?"
  7. "Ah, hello. What plot am I to be assisting? Bacon is not one of yours then." He pondered for a bit, and as he did so, he reverted to as he was before, fidgeting, speaking more softly, as if he had never been otherwise. "But retrieving it from him? I do not wish to wait, though it would not be so unpleasant for myself. I cannot physically take it, but... I could copy it? But seeing it though... too nonspecific to work. Otherwise a search is not needed. Take it from his mind... that has a success/fail variable. As he is already frozen, presumably he could be teleported... or copied himself? Through this logic, if we were to duplicate Bacon such that he retained his memories, we could take the pages directly from his memories. Rebus, could you accomplish that?" @Dragonheir
  8. I knock the gun out of your hands, then wildly flail my weapon at you.
  9. Taeidin raises his eyebrow. "Oh, I think you can. With or without your help, we are already positioned to find the pages before the other looking for them. I believe the issue is that they would be left without a plotline. So I propose a trade. You tell us which one has it, and I will assist in advancing one of your Evergod's plots, after the completion of my current mission." Before, he was rather quirky and often would pause to think for a while, then speak a lot at once. He had a hard time understanding what others meant at times, and he himself was often confusing. He also had eccentric habits. Taeidin looks to be about 35 years of age. He has long, straight, brown hair and blue eyes. Taeidin is somewhat tubbier and measures about 5'6" tall. He wears medieval-era baggy clothing.
  10. There is a complete shift in Taeidin's behavior as he speaks to Jackson. Everything, from his tone to his posture, displays far more confidence than usual, as if he was slipping into a new persona... or abandoning a disguise. "I don't think you understand. You are going to tell us which of them has it. Help, at this point, is not required."
  11. "I would trust that feeling. But the fact that we are standing here discussing with the task not being done tells me that we may not be able to do it yet. But what else can we do...?" Taeidin approaches Jackson again. "You know which of them has the pages we are looking for. Tell us." @Hawks
  12. Taeidin's frown only deepens. "I suspect that the pacing is off, but I cannot know why that occurred."
  13. Taeidin gives a jolt, surprised. "Why were there two... of you?" - As the glow around her fades, the woman nods to Flower, Andry, and Freedom, then shimmers, disappearing. But if any had been watching closely, they would have notised her give a discreet hand signal before she left.
  14. Enraged, I jab at you with my many-headed polearm.
  15. I spit it out as best I can and then flee, clearly outmatched.
