I can't really speak for the score (other than pretty please let John Williams do it), or even for much of a soundtrack. But, there are a couple of songs that I associate with Oathbringer or some of the characters. For example, the end credits for Oathbringer -- I know that's a while out, but the first thing I did when I put down the book was plug in my iPod, and the first song I listened to was The Loxian Gate by Enya. I know it's probably that I was still high on Oathbringer, but it hit me as the perfect ending music. (Plus, the Loxian Gate, Oathgates? Eh? Eh?) And then, with the release of my favorite band's new album, I was listening to one of the songs and all I could think was Dalinar. (Which may or may not be accurate. I'm... not the best at character or lyrical interpretations, so don't quote me.)

My cats don't do this, but one of them does think she can come in my room, crawl all over me, and purr like a chainsaw at 3 AM. It's woken me up so many times, and yet she's so cute I can't stay mad.

Just finished Promise of Blood by Brian McClellan. Amazing.

I... want one. I think somebody actually donated a Renaissance (or Baroque or something, it was a really old design) flute to the DI once. It was missing part of the mouthpiece, but man was it cool.

My favorite band has released a new (live) album, and I AM A HAPPY OOKLA.

I’m totally fine, thanks. It was pretty small-scale, actually — a robbery gone wrong. Only one person ended up getting shot. Mostly, it was just alarming to hear so many sirens outside (we thought it was a chase at first, actually, until we got more details the next morning), and with that and the other news, it was all just really sobering more than anything.

So, uh. There may or may not have been a shooting literally one block away from where I work. Also, one of my coworkers passed away. This morning was not one for happy news.

Topics like to hide here. Makes hunting for references rather frustrating.

Bacon isn't awful, but just about everything else that comes off a pig is. I enjoyed the Inheritance Cycle immensely. I loved the Star Wars prequels; in fact, Attack of the Clones was one of my favorites from the whole series for a while. More Sanderspecific, but apparently everyone hated Shallan? When I first read tWoK, I ended up skimming or outright skipping everything else and just read her chapters. She remains to this day one of my favorite characters.
