My favorite Doctors are the modern Who ones (9 - 12), mostly 'cause I haven't seen much old Who. I love Nine's sarcastic, no-nonsense attitude, Ten's amicable nature hiding something darker, and Eleven's silliness, also... hiding something darker. Twelve is just fantastic. There are no other words. Favorite companion... hmm. I'd probably go with Donna, since she's a cool person and is like the only companion in New Who who doesn't crush on the Doctor 24/7. My favorite story arc so far is Twelve's Promised Land, though the Silence from S6 is a close second.

The chorus to "Counting the Days" by Collective Soul reminds me of Kaladin when he's a slave/bridgeman. Also by CS, "Precious Declaration" for Kaladin, again, and "Listen" for Dalinar. Maybe I'm reaching, but those songs remind me of those characters, so... yeah.

Right now I'm listening to the album "Disciplined Breakdown" by Collective Soul. It's probably my favorite album of all time, by my favorite artist of all time.

So I don't see a lot of "here's an idea" or "help me with this" posts in the Brandon fanfiction section, but as my problem is Stormlight-related I'll put it here. I had some great help with a magic problem some time ago, and though I haven't written that story yet, the help I received was invaluable. This time, my problem is character-related. I'm working on a fanfic for the Stormlight Archive and my character is eventually going to end up as a Radiant (quelle surprise). The problem is that I was maybe going to have him be a Stoneward, but they exemplify strength, dependability, and resolve. See, he and his father were soldiers in Dalinar's army. After Sadeas' betrayal, his father died and he (the character in question) retreated into a shell and got reassigned to scouting duty. This doesn't really fit for the Stonewards. So yeah, help finding an Order and possibly other help would be appreciated, thanks.

First off, this has been a very enjoyable experience. I hope you do this again with other Cosmere works -- and yes, CFSBF! Second, I know I'm commenting like six months after the fact, but this has been irking me to no end: "Her unhealthy coping mechanisms are the most beautiful thing he's ever seen." I always read that as the fact that she still smiles after being broken inside was beautiful, not her coping. In fact, Kaladin would probably be horrified if he knew how poorly she was dealing with it -- he is a physician, after all. Maybe I'm just annoyed that you're ragging on one of my favorite scenes, but I had to say it. Feel free to offer another viewpoint, but that's my opinion.
