  1. While our Coinshots are really stopping us from being in a bad position, I'd feel a lot better about it if we could now use these two dead guys to pin the others down, preferably in a macabre fashion by throwing their corpses on top of them. We've used up three shots of Steel so far, and we probably have between 1-3 uses left. It may be worth saving them for now, and seeing what we can get out of discussion this Cycle before using them during the next one. Unless the Coinshots feel they are likely to be targeted, that is, in which case you should use them now so they aren't wasted, but still with a degree of caution. They should definitely remain hidden though, particularly now we've lost two Lurchers. I'm voting for Winter. I haven't seen many informative posts from her, and this current post just reads like 'I'm a Villager, look how happy I am about this'. I also do not like Deathclutch's list, or at least the parts that judge innocence entirely based on whether they voted for someone Deathclutch think is guilty. There is nothing saying the Eliminators can't vote for each other. It's only when people are in danger of being lynched that who voted for them becomes massively important and can be used to judge a player.
  2. That is erroneous then. It should be that the HI cannot be targeted by Roles either. I will fix that in the rules. If you want to know if the HI is Loyal or Traitor, become a Hemalurgist It's more the former than the latter, but also so I kind of have an idea what's going on. Besides, I don't need to be in PMs to laugh at you lot >> Joe, I will add you to the Spec doc as soon as it's been made (which will be when the game starts) .
  3. Feruchemist vote-changes will be shown in the write-up. Voidbringers can be prevented from using their action by a BioChromancer, or if they were an Eliminator they cannot use their Role and the kill, or they could just not want to use it for other reasons. Kandra cannot discover the HI's conversion, as the HI cannot be targeted by Actions. The only way to 100% confirm this to a single player is if a Hemalurgist is Forged afterwards.
  4. I'm sorry, I'm a little confused? I can't see any red-text on my previous posts... And with regards to reasons for Smart's death, Nicco... If nothing amazingly jumps out at you, then I wouldn't spend too much time on it. Your time is far better spent looking at peoples' posts and using that as evidence rather than trying to second-guess the Eliminators retroactively with no other information.
  5. Seven votes at the moment? Good grief... Alvron. HoneyBadger is 100% correct - We do not want to have everyone give out their Role because it makes it easy for the Eliminators to pick people off that they are afraid of. People should only be revealing their Role if they are providing information via it. Unfortunately I'm running out of time to post, and will have to get back to you all after work. In the meantime, I guess I'd like some more from Lopen, considering he's accusing me of seeming to be helpful without actually contributing. Clearly my vote on Alvron worked at getting more information from him, and I participated in other discussions too. Admittedly that happens after he posts, during the evening, but I don't think I can be blamed for not posting while at work.
  6. Sadly no Kas, so my forum-bro isn't here... #Dulabros4life Also, I really want to run my two-headed Elimination game now just because of this... I'd also like to remind people who have siblings in this game to please be careful and not use your position to your advantage. While you can speak to each other about the game off-forum while a Surgebinder is alive (though I'd prefer through PM), remember that you should not be showing or reading each other messages from the GM, and you should not be trying to see if they are in a Google doc.
  7. Understandable. I was not too sure about my metal either. In the end I just decided to use it all and info-dump, hoping I found *something* odd with it. I did not, but that's not too surprising. As someone said, we can't follow-the-cop in this game. We might be able to follow-the-coinshot though, but I would really rather they remain hidden unless they are afraid of being targeted for some reason or another and want to request Lurcher defence (which we should probably be careful with to try and ensure we don't waste Lurches). I'm not amazingly suspicious of anyone at the moment, unfortunately. I'm wary of Alvron because of his reasoning for voting for me, but much of that is probably just reactionary. To a certain extent, I'm also cautious because Gamma likes to have an experienced player on the Eliminator team, and there are only three long-time players left - Myself, Karippimar, and Alvron, and I'm not suspicious of Karippimar. But by now, other people probably count as experienced as well, and it's really metagamey to argue based on this point anyway. I'd much rather have solid evidence than rely on a potential shot that Gamma may be planning on us trying to abuse anyway. Hell, I know I would be trying to screw with expectations as much as possible as a GM (take note, those of you playing LG15...). The only other person I'm really looking at oddly is Orlok, because of his comments about me still being alive and that scaring him because it's me >>. I kind of understand this, but I don't think he's actually had any actual complaints about me? Nothing to bring forward to actually try nominating me, anyway. I'm just always a little suspicious about people who make small comments about people all game but never do anything big based on those suspicious.
  8. ...Actually, that was exactly what I was waiting on. I am disappointed. I was so hoping you'd say you used a metal yesterday so I could catch you out in the lie. So: 1. Joe. Turns out he's a Tineye. ...Yeah, I kind of regret making that call. I was half thinking it would let him know what I got, and half wanting to check him for being truthful, but in hindsight if he was lying about being a Tineye it would have been a stupid move on his part. 2. Alvron. Used no metal. Potentially could be killer skaa, but frankly he'd be the worst person on an Eliminator team to try it if he was Skaa, considering he's relatively high-profile as a player. So he either didn't use his power, or made the kill. I'd bet on the former. 3. Creccio. Yup, no metal use. Consistent with what Creccio's saying, sadly. Could be he's our killer, being a new player who claims to have not used their metal. But no solid evidence from what I've found by Seeking. So yeah. Told you not to get your hopes up guys.
  9. In the interests of full disclosure, may I ask have you have used your Role so far? So why would this Role be seen as the 'Skaa equivalent'? Because of that, I was assuming you were our Coinshot. Admittedly, I'm glad to know you're not, since you're out in the open like this. And yeah, I didn't check up on your metal last night. It was my intention to if you agreed to use it or if you were not lynched but (like so many other things this Cycle), I was defeated by my most powerful adversary, timezones. I used my metal on someone less than optimal because I had set them as my choice right at the start of the Cycle. I will reveal who I checked up on tomorrow morning before I go to work. I just want to see a bit more discussion today before I unload them.
  10. Woah there, hold your horses, let's not go putting words in peoples' mouths. You are entirely wrong on the first count, and that just shows maliciousness or carelessness, Alvron. I gave multiple reasons for Mailliw's death and reached the conclusion that looking for meanings in his death would be pointless as there could be so many different ones responsible when it's just as easy to say 'active and experienced'. So actually the opposite. Adavantos... To be honest, I actually didn't know he was the one who died. I looked at the player list and saw it belonged to 'Alvom'. I didn't realise Adavantos was Alvom until just now when I looked over it. And then you add a little bit on about Smart when I have no idea why you're connecting my previous comments to his death. With regards to yesterday's vote, my intention was to take my vote off of Zephrer in the morning after (hopefully), he had replied. Unfortunately, I got the times mixed up quite a bit, and due to daylight savings time coming into effect during the Cycle and messing up the forum's times, I was unable to remove that vote. For what it's worth, I am out of metals now. I was a Seeker, as useful as it is for you guys to know that. My findings are... Inconclusive, sadly. Three charges and only one succeeded in discovering something. What do you guys want me to do with them? I can tell you what I found, it's not exactly going to be earth-shattering news, but you guys might be able to think of something to do with it. Edit: Also, and knowing it may get me in trouble if I am wrong, I believe Zephrer is an Inquisitor. I have no actual proof, not even through Seeking, but I think a few things line up with what I'm thinking.
  11. The HI is intended to be an informative and disruptive Role, and has no ability to kill except as part of the lynch (for people other than the Captain). They cannot make kills themselves, and therefore they are ultimately disabled if they are the only one remaining on the Traitor team.
  12. For the record, I will need to talk to you about this. Indeed. Someone(s) must have purchased some...
  13. Seekers aren't useful in any situation other than this. They can literally only discover good targets for the skaa or try and catch people out in lies about their metals. Where else would we use them other than this? And if he is a Skaa and we know his metal... Cool, we know his metal. If anything odd happens with that metal, then guess what? We have a prime suspect.
  14. Now now Kipper, play nice My reading of this is that we can relatively easily see if Zephyr uses his Allomantic ability. I mean, why would we care if it was a Skaa Smoker, for example? Plus, we must have a Seeker somewhere who can look at him. My hope would be that at least one of them goes 'hm, this guy is claiming a power. I should probably check this'.
  15. Firstly, why is that suspicious? Frankly if I was trying to get someone lynched, there are many better targets than you, who have barely been a presence in this game. If I was trying to kill someone, I'd go after a regular poster rather than someone who - as he admits here - only posts when he is directly called out. As for Zephyr, I am willing to remove my vote, provided you use your ability in some way this Cycle. That should prove that you are indeed not the skaa-equivalent of it.
  16. Generation 4: Turn 3 "Well, I for one find them most frightful," Gracia Heatherlocke said. She looked around at the assembled nobility - Lord Uethorn, finishing his wine, Lord Penrod with his nose in yet another book, and of course Lady Urbain, though she had been briefly dragged away by her duties as host. She didn't need to state who she was talking about; Lady Urbain had thrown this ball in their honour, after all. "Skulking around in the mists at the dead of night like common thieves." "Hardly common thieves, Lady Heatherlocke," Guadium Uethorn replied as he swapped his empty flute for another full of wine and swirled it round gently. "They are, after all, meant to be Mistborn." "Really?" Gracia asked, turning to Lord Uethorn. "I am surprised. I had thought that the numbers of Mistborn in the world were dwindling somewhat." "Perhaps in your House," Guadium said with a sly grin. "Mine still flourishes with the Allomantic arts. Why do you say that, then? Could it be that your own House is failing?" "I shall choose to ignore that remark, for your sake, Guadium," Gracia said stiffly, turning her nose up a little. "And, as you so clearly desire, I shall ignore you for the rest of this event." Guadium shook his head, a little bemused, as he watched Lady Heatherlocke's departure. "Can she not take a little gentle teasing?" "I fear you are not quite up to date with the rumours in Luthadel, Lord Uethorn," Lord Penrod said, finally snapping the book shut. It was one of those damned histories that his House was so fond of producing, each revision slowly tailoring the past to be more in keeping with the Ministry's teachings. "Are we to jump at shadows and pay attention to the mutterings of skaa these days?" Guadium shrugged. "What do they say that is worth noticing?" "Precisely as your little barbed comment suggested. Supposedly someone nearly beat their child to death to try and get them to snap, but to no avail. It must be rather embarrassing for a Great House to have a child that is ultimately no different to skaa." "Really...?" Lord Uethorn nodded in the direction lady Heatherlocke left in. "The Heatherlockes...?" He didn't bother to finish the sentence. "Alas, as it is only a rumour, it is distorted by untruths and slander. It is impossible to say who the unfortunate House is." "A shame, then... Though that does indeed raise a point. If Allomantic bloodlines are weakening to that extent, then what will the Inquisition do, if they require Mistborn to function?" "Perhaps it would be best to ask Lady Urbain," Lord Penrod suggested, as the woman in question made her way back over. "Her brother has apparently been accepted into their fold, after all." "What is this?" Lady Urbain asked, looking between them. "I heard my name being mentioned. I hope you only have good things to say about me?" "We were just discussing that your brother has joined the Inquisition," Guadium said. "I assume he was Mistborn then? House Urbain appears to have lost quite an important figure, in that case." "He is no longer my brother, Lord Uethorn," Grace said with a sad, but seemingly accepting smile. "He is of the Inquisition now, and no longer of House Urbain. It is best, I feel, to forget that he ever existed before now." "That seems a little harsh, doesn't it?" Lord Penrod asked. "He is, after all, still your brother." Lady Urbain sighed and took a small sip of wine. "Any ties he had to me were severed the moment he joined them. But you asked me whether he was Mistborn," she said, looking at Guadium. Then she smiled a little. "For what it's worth, the Inquisition only accept the best." Generation 4, Turn 3 has begun! It will end on October the 31st, at 6PM GMT. It's typical. You wait ages for a twin and four turn up at once... Generation 4 Player List PMs have been sent out.
  17. We are/were, yes. The game will restart in just over four hours, so be patient
  18. Added you guys. Also, Kaid, Clanky meant he wants to join as that character, as he had not signed up yet. Sorry, I thought I mentioned this in the last reply, but seems I answered everything except that... The HI cannot be lynched or targeted by actions. Any votes for them are counted as no votes.
  19. Venture Mistborn. Well, there's always one way, Zephrer. I'm always suspicious of people who say stuff like this, particularly when if you really want to prove it, you can always put yourself up for the lynch. But aside from that, the best way to prove it is to discuss, vote and lynch, and hopefully lynch an Eliminator because of it. That is the only confirmation we can get in this game.
  20. Sad but understandable, Kas. Bit of an odd one for the Eliminators to kill. I don't think I've interacted with Alvom or been in any games he's been in, so is anyone else able to make suggestions about why this happened? ...Unless it's a case of mistaken identity, of course I would very much like to know what Venture Mistborn's suspicions were for agreeing to lynch Araris. He said he agreed with the reasoning 'having read the whole thread', and then voted. I don't like this; It's an incredibly easy way to be able to vote without having to come up with your own reasoning, and it was a third vote on Araris within a very short space of time. Literally, right after the second vote. What made you so certain of Araris' death that you would place a third vote on him?
  21. Lots of people today. Seonid, you've been added to the spec-doc list. Roles that have been Forged are removed from the Sharddrive's list of Roles that can be given out. They will only return to the Sharddrive once the person with this Role dies. Roles that are overwritten by a Forger vanish from the game for good.
