    the Casts (the opposite of the Strands) are used to speed up time. The Strands resisted this. They were incompressible, and did not give ground. In the meanwhile, Strands dug under the floor, turning fully black as they dug into the crystal. They attempted to go under the barrier. In their current state? Hhhhmmmm

    … how fast can the ennuller react, exactly? No reason why. Tenth looked around. What is happening? The Strands erupted from Tenth, a few reaching for the doctor… faster than seemed possible for anything to move. The most, however, went backwards, attempting to break the globe of protection and the chains keeping the mental Strands in.

    Not that power… the actual tangible power… not from his mind. Like, people who can actively use the power manipulate golden strands to slice or move things, and that does stuff. He, if the Nullite weren’t present, would always be able to do that. But the Nullite throws everything off. It can be used by him, but he can’t control it or control when he uses it. It only comes out as a last ditch effort.
