Turning to Pyk, “Just give up, and it will stop.” Pyk was blubbering now, tears streaming down his eyes. He knew, however, that if he failed this test, they would both die. Ya want me to just “kill” her?

    Silver seemed perplexed… and sad. [I… I don’t know. The crystal figure is one of the Twins. Adari, for whom is named the material that powers Pyk’s magic. The test of loyalty…] Silver seemed reluctant to explain. That… or disbelieving. [Adari will torture him.] Adari looked at Pyk’s eyes, a grin on his face. “I’ll save those for last.” He dragged the strange dagger across Pyk’s face, causing Pyk to convulse in his bonds. ”Just tell me you give up, and it’ll stop.” aaawwwww It got interesting They grumbled more, but they seemed to be a bit less grumpy.

    “Put your armor back on. You will need its heat shielding.” Pyk unsheathed his katana, and his armor activated. “Challenge accepted.” Pyk was more confident than he thought he should be. His friends faces still appeared before him… but… it lost its sting The dragon raised its maw, then spewed forth a burst of flame at Pyk. He wasn’t there. He appeared behind the dragon, raising his katana and slamming it downwards. The cavern rumbled as stone crashed downwards and slammed into the dragon. The dragon shifted before it could hit him. ”That is not the type of challenge I was speaking of, little one.” The dragon roared again, and crystal bindings appeared around Pyk. They tightened, carrying him to the ground. A projection of a glowing, crystal man stepped from the dragon. ”With my Ascendance, you must be willing to give me up before the Golden Twin can kill me.” The man extended a hand, and a knife appeared in it. “This is a test of loyalty alone.”

    Maybe - I don’t have much time to set up a plot rn, sadly, but I will later today! In the center was a pile of bones. Purple-blue crystal made up the bones, magnificently crafted. Each bone looked like a piece of art, with the skull as the centerpiece. Two long horns rose from the head, and rows of fangs lined the jaws. The bones shifted, picking themselves up to stare at Pyk, its eyeless sockets following him. It extended its skinless wings, lifting itself up in a way that seemed to defy physics. It spoke, the voice the same as the one that spoke in Pyk’s temporary Ascendence, booming throughout the cavern. ”Vessel. You have travelled here in a time of crisis, to prove yourself worthy of the Ascendance. The Golden Twin will try to stop you, once you ascend. Try to destroy Adari once and for all.” The dragon roared, the ground shaking under them. “Prove yourself.” Perhaps… Hmmmm That could be good, yes.
