The liquid burbled, bubbles, and then a larger bubble rose into the air, popping to reveal a sickly seeming bird, flapping uncertainly. The figure staggered forward, then tripped, its leg lapsing into a liquid form before reforming, larger than before and more misshapen.

“What do you need help with?”

Will I get my attribute sheet before then?

An ethereal seeming person emerged. He’d spoken to Salt before, but he had disappeared for various reasons. “Hello! You have questions?” He tipped a nonexistent hat. “Friendly neighborhood Scribe, at your service.” He looked to @Aeoryi. “You mean to say that you summoned the Whitherlord? Woah. I’ve a friend confronting them now, but it’s a bit inactive, I’m afraid.”

A patch near her began to bubble more intensely, and a shape began to ripple upwards out of the oily liquid. It took a grotesque form, vaguely resembling a human being.

The doors to the main hall locked behind them. Across the vast chamber, a figure stepped through the stones of a blank, nondescript wall. His voice carried by the stone. “For your first challenge, you will face against Кржияди’s Infinity. Whoever is still alive come supper will move on in the challenge.” He pulled a small container from his jacket, opening it to reveal a foul stench. “This represents all too accurately the constant danger of being Burdened—you face the constant threat of Breaking, harboring uncertain consequences for the remaining members of the Burdened. This specific… obstacle… came from the Breaking of Кржияди.” He flung the contents of the container against the ground, and a dark film of liquid began to spread across the ground, releasing a reek odor and beginning to release bubbles. ”Good luck. You will need it.” He vanished back into the stones.

He shrugged. “I have to leave you here. No idea what happens next.” He departed. Mara nodded. “Hey! I’m Mara.” Your mentor disappeared.

They soon arrived to the empty room that was the Main Hall. Mara was behind you, but her mentor was missing. She waved slightly. Penny arrived, shortly followed by Mara. Mara’s mentor was nowhere to be seen.

Kevlish followed, sprinting with her. “The bot back?” His voice was tense, and a great number of birds erupted from the trees at his emotion, fleeing.

He winked. “You’ll see.” They reached the Main Hall. It was a vast, empty room.

@CoderDrag0n8 A loud sound rang through the halls, and a voice buzzed through a speaker. “All Elect are to report to the Main Hall for the first challenge.” @Through the Living Hope Her mentor gave her the sword, and began to escort her quickly. “No time!” The sword was very, very light. @CoderDrag0n8 His mentor started to escort him. “I’ll have more for you later. But for now, we need to set up a connection.” She locked eyes with him, and there was a shift in the air. Her voice came to his mind as if over radio. That’s good. Can you hear me? @GG0z His mentor rolled his eyes. “Alright, let’s go.” He began to escort him. “Make sure to leave a mark!” He paused. “You understand that I can’t…” he hesitated, “…I can’t help you with any powers of mine. They’re not useful here.”

Spoilers—how I understand it may be incorrect

How would awakening work in the HG? Like, how available would Breaths be—or do we want contestants to have to avoid awakened objects.
