    “I know you are but what am I?” He grinned, and dashed through the city. “The trains stopped working once the Deptheaters emerged - so we can hide under the tracks for now.” He hopped down to the tracks in a station, then pulled away a dull Emberstone to reveal a dim maintenance passway. ”In here.”

    Hehehe Inches, feet, yards, miles You would think it would be something rational - like, no jump more than 50 BUT NO YARDS TO MILES 1760 WHY?

    The person frowned, “No, your Ember for notifying them. Don’t you have one? I’ll use mine.” They pulled out a smaller, flat stone, then nodded, putting it away.

    Berin gasps dramatically. “How dare you reduce me to… *huff* a mere hallucination!”

    The person laughed slightly hysterically. “I don’t know! There should be one near! You can call on them, don’t you have your Ember?” Pyk pulls out another Ember, throwing it downwards. Their fall was slowed, and they landed safely. “I think I know a place - come one.”

    (Precluding note - it ain’t confirmed that Cultivation is 3) Hhmmm… Perhaps, but maybe not - they are also associated with color. Saying it is: Cultivation is three, and her and honor, for a time, were the “pure tone of Roshar” - which would be 3 and 10, an entire octave. However, he stresses the point that Odium was part of the three, and part of the pure tones - meaning that it would be 3, 9, and 10 - not musically unused, but usually broken up. BUT What evidence do we have that their scales are 8 note? They had a 3 note scale historically, matching Cultivation, or matching the three Shards - generally, I don’t think it needs to line up with our musical tradition. (Also, 8 isn’t the number of “even” intervals in our scales - there are twelve distinct notes. Even those aren’t even interval - the change in frequency [I don’t think that’s the word…] is not linearly modeled.)

    He shook his head. “No, you don’t understand - these guys are bad news. Like - really bad news.” He rummaged through a few cabinets, then brought out an Emberstone. As he pointed it to a wall, the wall crumpled, revealing a sickening drop. ”We need to jump.”

    @Hawks Pyk saw them, recognition and regret flashing across his eyes. “You… it’s not safe! Crap. Crap crap crap. The Depthdrinkers are coming.” The person widened their eyes, but shook their head. “You need an Ash!”

    They stopped, and the door into the room opened slowly. A man walked through, holding his hands up. He had a blindfold on, and a Emberstone armband. “Hello?” @Spark of Hope He found another person. Frozen as well.

    Hmm He had no pulse. Oh, (from @Hawks view) everyone else suddenly disappeared. From @Through The Living Glass and @Spark of Hope, Seraphina and Ashawn disappeared.

    He frowned, shaking his head. “No, it’s not hot enough.” Pausing, he followed the river with his eyes. “Maybe we should follow it to its source.”
