    "He already has them." Asharak reaches out and flicks Cep's forehead, and the surrounding Mindscape shivers. "Only problem is, they're locked away. He's been put back together in the wrong order. But I suppose there's nothing that can be done about that now. Your best way to fix his head is to find the one that split him in the first place."

    "Why yes, it would appear so," he says dryly. "Let me rephrase; what do you want from me? I would not be here if you didn't want something from me." Cep speaks up. "I want my memories back." Asharak just chuckles.

    Crp closes his eyes for a moment, and then the white void appears around them, Asharak standing before them. "Well hello again, old friend! And newer acquaintance," he says, nodding at Taeidin. "What am I doing here?"

    Grammar. Oh the grammar "Thank you. We'll see what you say at the end." The street collapses, replaced by a city wall. Guards stand on top, watching over the open field in front of the wall. Suddenly, a blur barely visible by the wall shifts. In the shadow of the wall, out of sight of the guards, the same boy appears, several years older. A blur flickers around his head, and the guards atop the wall slump down. Then the image flickers, and they seem to be standing there like they were. The figure walks to a door in the wall, and a guard inside opens it. He, too, instantly collapses, but this time he just vanishes. The boy reaches down, apparently grabs nothing, and hauls it inside the door.

    Tbf only half of them were because of him. "I couldn't control it..." Cep looks around at the soldiers. "I was so scared, and my magic...it just reacted. I didn't even mean to, but minds are such fragile things..."

    "No." Cep finishes tracing the symbol, and its path briefly glows white before disappearing. "That was a person who just died. The man he will become...that is me."

    After a moment, the man stands. "Come," he says, pulling the boy to standing. "Come, my son. We must away before more soldiers are sent." He takes the boy's hand and leads him off down the street and around a corner, out of sight. Cep stares at the place the boy was sitting, stone-faced. He walks over and kneels down. He bows his head and traces some shape on the stone.
