Norah Jones' new album, finally. It's amazing, go find it somewhere. It's different from the rest of her stuff, bit of country influence here. Which is odd for both her and Billy Armstrong, who I could do without. But the album is solid nonetheless.

I think Odium would be red. He seems more like a burner than a grave-raiser, really. I think he would be more apt to raze a city rather than to raise it.

"Let the Lord of Chaos rule." I am now on the 6th book of this amazing series, and I can tell already why this book is most people's favorite. Who else is at this point for the first time like me? I love this book. I think I'm going to start my first re-read after it, books 1-6 before moving on to Crown of Swords. It's been a while, because I've been reading them off-and-on for five years lol. Not because I feel like I need to take a break, but because there's lots of other things I like to read. I like variety. But I will do my re-read of the first six books consecutively. I think his writing style really shines in this one. For his Conan books and that Civil War trilogy (only one of which I have had the pleasure to read), and the first five books, it is good, but I think it really shows off in this one. I'm only 160 pages through it, but I think he has really mastered his voice here and i'm sure that will reflect throughout the rest of the book and the volumes to follow. I am also very excited for this epic battle that apparently is the greatest thing ever written or something, which comes at the end of the book and is retold in the 7th's opening. These books always have such awesome climax battles in them, so I can't wait for this battle.

The Writing Excuses Anthology with Sixth of the Dusk is Called "Shadows Beneath"
-Deleted- commented on Chaos's article in Brandon and Book News
Yeah, July 3rd is accurate. Man, I can't wait. I wish I could get it. Some day I will have expendable income again lol. Still haven't read either of the Steelheart books and probably won't get to read Firefight for a while either. I would love to read those stories that they always reference on Writing Excuses. I'm having a hard time remembering Howard's though. Was that the horror story he had put a piece of online for?- 5 comments

White Sand Graphic Novels Announced!
-Deleted- commented on firstRainbowRose's article in Brandon and Book News
I'm so excited! Not just that we'll get to add more to the official cannon. I'm excited that my favorite author is branching into a new medium. Between this, the novels, novellas, short stories, the table-top game and the (hopefully) upcoming Mistborn game, I am very excited. It isn't just a universe-spanning series, it is also now a multimedia project. It's exciting.- 13 comments

Speculation about what Brandon will write next
-Deleted- replied to LancePistachio's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I wish it were the 2nd Elantris book. I thought it was suppose to come out for Elantris' 10th anniversary. -
Well from what I understand, the Dark Ages story is already finished and there's a current plot concerning Camelot, so I think that's what they'll end with. I don't know anything about the Miracleman stuff, or even what it i, but yeah. It's coming to an end. I regret not starting the series when it first launched.
-
Yeah: Fables, Fairest and The Unwritten all end next year. Apparently Chew will end with #60 and both Wasteland and Manhattan Projects are on their final arc. It's pretty funny, all of the series I want to or am reading have either ended or will end withing the next year or so.
-
I've heard of Manhattan Projects! Haven't ream much about it though. I assume it's historical lol. Queen &Country is another one I'm interested in. Locke & Key sounds pretty interesting. So do most of Joe Hill's books. I'll have to find his stuff somewhere. Hellblazer enbded recently, so I'll get to that someday. And I don't have any money either. I get the regular volumes at my local library. The have almost all of them.

Hey, I don't suppose you know of other fantasy comics in the vein of either Fable, The Unwritten or Bone, do you? Or anything quirky like chew?
-
Lol. I tried correcting it and gave up. Highly against forced censorship. Whatever lol. Yeah, I actually have a list of comics I want to read. Trans metropolitan, 100 Bullets, Preacher and Sixth Gun are priority. I really wanted to read one called Greek Street, but it was canceled. I don't care much for the big two, but I love Wonder Woman and Green Lantern. They're easily the most interesting of DC for me. Marvel's okay, but if I had to choose one it would be Iron Man. Not even the story so much, just the origin story and the characters.

Ym Interlude: Iriali and the Long Trail (WoR Spoilers)
-Deleted- replied to The Question's topic in Stormlight Archive
That quote tuck out for me too! Clearly i'sa reference to Adonulsium, but the primary reason I stuck out to me is Ym's philosophy and how he presents it. It reminds me of the philosophy many of the thins I love hold. -
A wallbandgagzor can. If you stand in the line at Wall-Mart long enough, you'll see it.

RAFO RAFO RAFO Super-RAFO I can see it now.

Yeah, it's an episodic one, which means, for video games, the game is released in individual parts, one a month much like a comic book. I play video games, but I am unable to lately with how busy I keep myself lol. Yeah, I recently started The Unwritten and Chew, both of which I loved. My all-time favorite comic was Bone by Jeff smith. I read it last summer and it was amazing. Also, I am one of many highly anticipating the final issue of Kick-chull in may, the only superhero comic I read. And there are two webcomics I read: Schlock Mercenary, Girl Genius; and I want to read Sam & Fuzzy. What about you?

I can't believe I'm the only one saying this, but Words of Radiance. Not only did it bring us closer to tying all the magic systems in Roshar and the Cosmere together, but the magic is so weaved into the story, it actually caused supporting characters to exist (Pattern and Syl). The magic is also what led all of the major battles, is the reason two of our main characters survived the fall that caused 100 pages of story to exist, and it is also a main component of most of the plot twists and is the thing slowly uniting all of our characters.

It's currently one of my favorite books. Loved it, can't wait until the next. Which is soon!
-
Is anyone else currently devouring this series? I love these books so much. Fables is one of my favorite series now. I am currently on Volume 12 of Fables and volume 6 of Jack of Fables. I am also currently trying to get the Pewter & Max novel from my library when I get the chance. I love this series.

Permanent shelters. storming brilliant. I'm serious, that was a genius move on our part.

My current one is a fan art of Rory the Last Centurion from Doctor Who. He was a main character for a while and was personally my favorite.

I don't have a particular favortism to musicals, but there are many that I like and Frozen is one of them. Frozen was one of the most interesting uses of a fairy tale in a movie I've seen and was also one of the best fantasy films I have seen. Very good and is easily my favorite of the Disney animated films.
