I have one in my comment above, though really the coppermind is the best source. You'll just have to use your reasoning to see what makes sense as active, and passive respectively.

What I said is that most surges are rewriting the spirit-web of things, ie gravitation rewriting the spirit of an object to believe a different direction is down. That said, constantly seeing shadesmar may make more sense.

I would object that every surge changes the spiritual nature of things, ie gravitation changing an objects spiritual orientation. That said, you may be right about the shadesmar thing. That seems more centered around the surgebinder anyway.

Whatever happens, having all the shards unite and fight, is both going to be crazy, and hard to pull off. This certainly will be interesting to watch.

Thus far, we've seen each order of fused use passive abilities that do not use up investiture, such as the heavenly ones being able to fly indefinitely without using up their light. Their are only two orders we don't know a passive ability for: the altered ones, and the devastating ones. That said the altered ones may not have a passive ability. Below I have the passive abilities of each fused type: Heavenly Ones - Single Lashing Flight Devastating Ones - Unknown (depictions show burning skin though) Magnified Ones - Growing their carapace Flowing Ones - Making themselves slick Masked Ones - Putting false faces on themselves Altered Ones - Unknown (theory) Deepest Ones - Phasing Focused Ones - Tightening belts All that said, we can guess at what the Devastating Ones abilities will be. They appear to be swathed in burning ash in the WaT depiction. Altered ones, who knows if they have a passive ability. I think it's possible though, because of something Raboniel does. She breaths out a toxic compound at one point. Why breath it out? Why not soulcast the air in front of her into the compound? I'd guess that maybe the Fannah-im can soulcast things they physically are touching. If they ran their can across a surface for example they could soulcast what they touch. I don't know, just thoughts. Do you think they have a passive ability at all?

For the deepest ones and masked ones, having >!Taldain Sand!< would be incredibly useful, and with flowing ones and heavenly ones, a confined environment would really hurt the full use of their powers. The Opposite would be true of the devastating ones, altered ones, and focused ones. I'd suggest using the net on the focused ones actually.

Cradle! I can't believe I found another person who reads cradle! Also Lindon would be a Dustbringer. Controlling himself, focus, working hard, trying to figure out how things work, being controlled, loving to tinker, having fiery destructive powers. Not everyone who is driven has to be an elsecaller. In the vein of the previous comment, what would you type the Lord of the Rings characters?

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the Jasna book. Too bad it's so late in the second arc, though I suspect she'll still be a strong viewpoint character leading up to that point.

I have a general question on the dividing line between the order of the Truthwaters and the Elsecallers. What truly makes these orders different, and what would define which order you would get into, other than the oaths. How can these be difined differently, and what are your thoughts on their compared natures, and differing traits Inkspren and Mistspren would seek?

So basically, there acting the way they are because the situation calls for it?

I know the oaths are about seeking truth, and stuff like that, but we really havn't found any seeking of truth, objective facts, from either of our kinds of Truthwatcher. The enlightened ones might have a focus on "emotional truths" but the normal ones, they seem more focused on healing and helping. Am I missing something here? What are they about, and what is meant by that. I worry that some of the descriptions and and public portrayals of the orders were made by Brandons team, and not by him himself, perhaps making some break in understanding. Why do they act the way they do so far?

If she weren't a Bondsmith, which order would she join? The best options seem to be: Truthwatcher, Elsecaller, and Willshaper. I say that because she is primarily a scholar and inventor, and those orders fit that description the best, not to say that I could be wrong. What order do you think she'd be in and why?

I'm just curious what you think we'll see from the Skybreakers in wind and Truth. Do you think that they'll get a lot of screen time, and will learn a lot about their order? This is after all their book.

What personality type based off of the cognitive functions do you think is related to each order of radiance? And especially curious about the ENTp personality type I'm not certain what to categorize them as. When I ask this question, I do mean based off of the cognitive functions. It's interesting, as several types are somewhat in between in the intellectual, which would lean more towards truthwatcher and elsecaller, and more artistic and adventurous in the form of lightweaver and willshaper. How do you think this would work? What are your thoughts, and the reasoning behind them?
