Shoe watch the man leave the room. He wasn't sure how he felt about what had just happened. On the one hand, he was extremely frustrated with both the man and himself; on the other he was hopeful. He hadn't told Shoe no outright, so maybe . . . there was a chance?
As much as Shoe wanted to think about it more, he was mentally, physically, and emotionally exhausted from the long day. He walked over to Beosta's bed and sat in a nearby chair.
