    heh. She stumbled over, bleary-eyed, and absently healed him. She then half lowered herself, half-collapsed onto the ground beside him, staring up at the tree canopy with half-lidded eyes and gasping for air.

    A guttural scream escaped Tam's throat as she watched from the ground nearby. It was all too much- Bat and Cricket in danger- not to mention herself- She just . . . reacted, releasing a burst of Narrative power without thinking about what she was actually doing. One moment, Stone was standing over Cricket, holding the knife, and the next- (TW: blood)

    I actually recently got back into SV as well! It's fun. (married Sam this time) The new(er) update really added a ton to the game! Very fun.

    "NO!" she cried, Narrating the gun out of existence and pressing the knife to his neck harder. "Stop!"

    She nodded, stepping up to the hole. You can do this- you can do this, she told herself. It just . . . seemed like she was going to fall into an empty abyss, was all. She took a deep breath and stepped on the rim, then tipped herself over the edge- -and stepped perfectly onto the other side. Well, almost. She did trip over her own feet a little, but at least she was fine . . .

    Still breathless and dizzy, she Narrated the gun away, and a knife appeared, pressed to his neck instead. "Don't . . . touch them," she said rather shakily.

    She fell to the ground again, the world seeming to go quiet around her. It was . . . It was so much worse the second time . . . She- she felt so dizzy . . . the world was spinning around her . . . She sat there, shivering for what felt, to her, like an eternity. Then it faded away once more. "Please," she sobbed once she could breathe again, "just leave him alone." G'night!

    She finally dropped her hands to her sides, gasping for air. She looked up slowly, and saw- well- that. "CRICKET!" she screamed, firing a couple more shots at Stone before unsteadily jumping to her feet and running at him.

    She couldn't hear him though, because he'd just Nullified her Narration. She froze, then fell to her knees and squeezed her head tightly between her palms, trembling. It was getting worse. She knew it was getting worse- -but scud! Why was it getting worse?! She squeezed her eyes shut until the sensation faded. You'll have to specify when it goes away though

      The number has definitely been dropping though.

      I never tracked this myself. However, someone did track for me the books I was reading within a certain project. That was 50 books over 2 years (late 2019 to mid 2021). And over that period I also read ASOIAF, Realm of the Elderlings and Wheel of Time lol

       

      It fell hard in 2023, then 24 was just slightly higher

      There's other stuff that ties into this, but...  no I'll just make it a separate SU because else it's too long

    Since the bolt wasn't specified as actually hitting her, she moved out of the way (carefully, obviously), gun still raised. Isn't he . . . also a Chaisler though? she thought to herself.

    No, no, not yet. I get it Just, uh . . . avoid it for a while, y'know? Tam growled and summoned a handgun, firing a few shots at Stone. Obviously the bullets would only affect him, though, so he couldn't use either of the others as a human shield. Also what, did Stone stab Cricket or not? kinda unclear in the moment
