  1. Six glowing antennae of the same color unfolded from the creature's head, pulsating. It hissed at him again, squeezing tighter, and Argoyle's world went dark.
  2. It stared at him. Then, a moment later, the veins along it's body began glowing a bright, sinister pink. It's tail wrapped tightly around Argoyle's throat.
  3. The serpent flipped him into the air, then caught him again. At least he was right-side-up, now.
  4. Aela followed Felicity's following, squeezing her hand.
  5. The light of the flashlight revealed the monster. Well, most of it. It was an enormous serpent -easily forty feet long- coiled around the cavern. It's head was level with him, two giant, milky eyes focused on Argoyle's own. It hissed briefly, opening it's gaping mouth and revealing two rows of sharp, hooked teeth. It's white tail had wrapped itself many times around Argoyle's ankle, and it held him above the pool of water. The serpent watched him curiously.
  6. He was swiftly dragged out and hoisted into the air upside-down.
  7. He heard his shoe land somewhere else in the cave. The thing wrapped around his ankle and tried again.
  8. Something suddenly wrapped around his foot, yanking him out into the open.
  9. In front of him was an enormous circle of some sort. It took him a moment to realize it was actually an eye. Cloudy-white, one might mistake the creature as being blind. Yet as Argolye watched it, it flicked back and forth between his own eyes, observing. Whatever this beast was, it seemed . . . intelligent. The knife glanced off of the scales just below the eye, which were a pearlescent white, with pink veins under a layer of skin visible in-between. Unable to reach Argoyle, the beast retreated.
  10. "Huh. Alright." She dismissed it for now. She would find out what it was, later.
  11. "Thanks. Not sure." She looked at the Blade curiously. "What does it do?"
  12. The space he was in suddenly sounded smaller. Closed off, somehow.
  13. huh that's nice . . . uh HOW WAS Y'ALLS' DAY??
  14. All the organisms in the cave suddenly stopped glowing, and it went dark. A little message flashed across his watch: A Seeker is near.
  15. idk what that means i'll assume it's really significant
  16. There was a quiet sound from just outside the entrance to the cave. It sounded almost like . . . a soft slithering sound?
  17. "That's nice. What are those Plotblades? Can I have one?" "Oh! Like the one who gave Cricket that blade?"
  18. Tam sighed and made a dagger that looked identical to Rose's. It landed in front of the rabbit.
  19. "Okay." She sat on the ground and started making a little bracelet out of grass.
  20. "So . . . do you know what it does now?" Tam asked Cricket.
