    She stepped back and looked up at him. He seemed so sad. Hmm . . . Being small helped her feel better when she was feeling down. Maybe it would help him, too? She Narrated him to be be smaller -he wasn't an animal or anything, just a smaller version of himself, almost as big as she was- and caught him before he could fall. Then she pulled him into a hug.
