  1. . . . Okay. He reappeared deeper in the branches of the tree.
  2. Okay, so Malevolence is going after the Plotblade Antagonist, which is bad because then that makes him the ultimate villain or whatever, right? Well basically- anyway, we don't want him to get it, so Rebus is trying to get it instead and prove he's a better villain or whatever, and he needed my help to do that.
  3. He cringed and stayed silent. "That wasn't the point," he muttered. It was probably time for Rebus to come in, anyway. @Dragonheir - . . . Do you want some backstory, first?
  4. So then . . . you don't know who it is? WHAT IS IT :D:D He nodded and reduced the entire building to rubble. - He wanted me to make something to scare people with, remember?
  5. Utility smiled and released them from the stone. "You may go." Then he headed towards the council building. - Yeah. I already did what I needed to do.
  6. The cage vanished into the stone with all the people and let them go in one of the caverns. SEALED. Sealed. - I sent your mom a note. She's knows we're fine. @echo74!!!!!! . . . Do you decide? he asked after a few minutes.
  7. He was quiet. "Hmph. Bob, get in the cage. Terry . . ." Terry was sucked down into the stone and deposited in a sealing building on the lowest level.
  8. He was quiet for a moment. I'm . . . I'm sorry. That must be awful.
  9. "Should've thought about that before." He cast some silvery metal onto Bob, where it liquefied and started healing him.
  10. It's n-not your tree, it's- he cut himself off. . . . Why did they leave? he asked instead.
  11. W-why are you here? he spoke nervously in her mind. "I doubt that." He unceremoniously tossed Terry's family into the cage. "Change of plans, you'll stay here. Bob, you're going in his place."
  12. Holt froze, eyes wide. He vanished into a fine mist.
  13. ". . . I have." He eyed the thread. "So that's . . . ?" "Hmph." He picked Terry's family out of the crowd and brought them forward. "How about now?"
  14. The stone beneath his feet shot up in front of the bullets, where they exploded in a shower of sparks and bits of shrapnel. A separate stone tendril whipped around his hand, crushing and twisting it. Utility lowered the guard and raised an eyebrow. "Are you done?" ". . . Ah. I'm sorry." He eyed the thread once more. "Did you . . . make that?"
  15. He sighed. "Yeah. Kinda wish there were some people like myself I could talk to. Why are all of your people gone?"
  16. "Goodness, no. I . . . don't even know what you're talking about." He turned and looked into the branches, embarrassed. "You just seem like a nice person . . . and it gets lonely out here."
  17. Right He grinned. "No. I simply wasn't interested in getting to know you at the time."
  18. "There's no need for that. One such example will suffice" Utility stated absently, eyes narrowed on Terry. "Of course, if you were to step too far out of line . . ." He chuckled. "You've seen me every day you've come here, and I've seen you every day in return. I just never bothered to say hello."
