    There was another door hidden off to the side. There were sounds behind it. She glared at him. "Leave. Now."

    "I don't know! A gas leak? LEDs in a cube? A set of some kind? Not magic!"

    She sighed. "Lovely." "Not magic," Ralia grumbled.

    The winged woman whirled around when the lights came on and glared at the two of them, drawing two short blades. The child was nowhere to be seen. "Leave me alone!"

    A couple lanterns were spiked into the dirt walls, though none were lit. Shuffling could be heard in the room beyond.

    She dashed through a door, which locked behind her.

    "Me neither," she sighed. "Let's just look for a way out."

    She unfolded her wings and hopped over the wall, disappearing to the other side.

    It sliced her leg in a small spurt of blood. She hissed and ducked into another alley. Utility sighed, feeling annoyance for the first time in his life. "See those gates? We're going to go into the city. We're going to track the Hunters down and get what they're guarding, hopefully destroying their order in the process."

    She sighed softly to herself and pulled over a large shelf full of pottery in passing, which crashed to the ground behind her and left broken ceramic shards all over the place.

    The winged person looked back at her and glared for a moment before dropping down into a low alleyway and running around the corner.

    She turned and hopped across a narrow street onto another series of roofs.

    She ignored her and ran, clutching the clearly still terrified child tightly.

    "Calm down!" she hissed, folding her wings into the back of her loose clothing and dashing across the rooftops.

    She yelped and they landed on the roof of the building. "HEY!" she said, standing and clutching the small child protectively. Chaos continued in the streets below them.

    She hissed and dodged, grabbing the child and hopping out of the alley with a powerful beat of her wings. "Lovely," Utility said genuinely. They were nice looking gates.

    Another one of the winged soldiers stood, white and black speckled wings spread wide. She eyed her.

    It shrieked, and the spear only barely missed. Another figure barreled through the alleyway in a blur and knocked the thing off him and to the ground further away.

    aww He nodded and took them to the gates. @Aeoryi The thing screeched and knocked the knife out into the street with a wing, raising the spear.
