    Shoe heard Beotha yell something. He started back up the stairwell, and the ceiling collapsed. That works, he thought, steelpushing himself through the hole. He way overshot, so it's a good thing there was no ceiling on that part of the second floor anymore . . . He still landed pretty hard though. Beotha kneeling was on the floor nearby, crying. He rushed over, there were still rocks tumbling down around her. We need to GO, he motioned with his hands. The floor was collapsing now.

    Shoe dodged out of the way. Wait, where are the others? He peeked back up the stairwell.

    Uh . . . "A friend of sorts." Reef landed on her head and squawked playfully at the other Aviar.

    Shoe wrenched his arm out of her grasp, glaring. He suddenly shot up the stairwell, leaving Beosta in the dust. His newfound steelpushing abilities were coming in handy. He did crash into the walls a few times, but Beosta wasn't there to see it, so it was fine.

    Welp, okay then, Aerol thought as First gathered her things. She finished packing her own, and pushed her kayak out to the water. Reef strained with his head in the sand, as if he were stuck. "Hang on, buddy," Aerol said, reaching to help. Reef's head suddenly snapped back, and in his beak was a small crab, about the size of Aerol's thumb. He promptly ate it. "Huh." She pushed her kayak into the water, got on, and they were off.

    Shoe gave him a flat stare and cocked an eyebrow. Really? You want me to tell you? Shoe was suddenly very alarmed.

    Shoe huffed. Rude. He gestured to the library, as if to ask, what now?

    "Cute. This is Reef," Aerol gestured to Reef, who had buried his head in a hole in the sand. She rolled her eyes. She turned back to First, "Look, I need to find someone back on the main island. You wanna come?"

    Shoe whirled around. He waved and gestured to the empty library, shrugging.

    Aerol supposed that was fair enough. "Makes sense," she said. Reef hopped over and around First, chittering. "Where's your Aviar?"

    Shoe meandered back into the library a few minutes later, having found some small atium nuggets in the janitor's closet. Uh oh, he thought when he noticed the group was gone.

    Shoe stared at the nugget in amazement. He quickly ate it and burned the metal. He suddenly felt very powerful, and ran off to find some more metal he could eat.

    Shoe shrugged, and motioned to hand the Plotblades back- -but he accidentally hit Tull with the tip of Benevolent blade. There you go Have fun!

    Aerol did not move to shake First's hand. "What do you want?" She said gruffly.

    "I-I'm Aerol." She slipped one of the knives into her boot, just in case. It wasn't visible to First. Aerol stood up cautiously.
