Roy's eyes widened slightly at the transformation before him, but he quickly masked his surprise. His voice was filled with a mixture of bitterness and resignation. "Entertainment, huh? You get off on other people's pain. Fine." He took a deep breath, steadying himself, his fists clenching and unclenching. "You want me to give up my sand mastery? Consider it done." Roy's gaze hardened, but there was a flicker of vulnerability in his eyes. "I’ll give it up. Not because you demanded it, but because I've already lost so much. One more sacrifice won't break me. You want a show? Tell the Capitol to watch closely."

You could have the measurable bit be how many sol's worth of light is created(or destroyed) with most character only able to work with 1 sol but some people able to go up to 10ish sol's(the amount of light in the sun). -

well i got distracted with your advice. i am currently looking at about 1.5k words just for an outline for my background mythology. i might need to create a writing thread soon. or at least a worldbuilding one thanks scars for your advice to start with the myths, legends and gods.
