  1. Uhhh, you can burn the edges of the silk strips, or fold in the edges and sew them down.
  2. I think he's great at description and most of his character building, but I really dislike how he uses his world. Or, really, how he doesn't use his world. He keeps hinting at the Others and other fantasy elements, but hardly ever actually does something with it. It seems like the world is there just to create fear or to show the characters travelling. I don't know, I like certain elements and a few characters, but my interest in the series has dwindled a TON for multiple reasons.
  3. Ah, okay. My twitter is Feloxia.
  4. Just wanted to let you all know that I'm putting a cosmere family thing together on tumblr, that way you can find all/most of the the Sanderson fans there
  5. I started playing it yesterday. It won't let me connect to social networks at the moment, so I can't add anyone, but it's pretty awesome so far! Although, it took me a while to figure out what action limit was xP
  6. I've also been thinking of someone like Dakota Fanning as Vin. She's a great actress, and she's a petite size, so I think it would work out pretty well.
  7. You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it And that happens to me every time I read her reactions.
  8. Ah, yes, I was looking through those a while ago. I should look at the newer ones as well. ALSO, she has completed Way of Kings as well There are a few posts for this one. Her first one was basically: "30 pages in The Way of Kings and Brandon is already blowing my mind and making me feel inadequate. Well done, sir." And here are the links for the rest (SPOILERS): Second Third Fourth Fifth
  9. I hadn't even thought about that before. It sounds really cool...and now I want to live there even more.
  10. The writing and development was definitely disappointing. Even though it was originally going to have just one season they could have carried all the elements through much better.
  11. I shall I'm hoping they do! Oh my goodness, that is so funny xP That's pretty much how it it, though.
  12. On tumblr I sometimes stumble across people's liveblogging reactions to Mistborn, and most of the time they're pretty funny. And then I feel bad.... BUT ANYWAYS, this is one of the best reaction post series I've seen: -Final Empire -Well of Ascension -Hero of Ages Some of my favorite quote: "IS THIS THE END OF ORESEUR SKJFKSDHG CRYING OVER A TALKING DOG THIS IS MY LIFE" "wow you guys weren’t kidding when you said things only got worse, huh? hahahahahahahahah hysterical sobbing" "Oh great now I’m attatched to Human. Just kill me." "be extraordinary at job. get ritually killed and controlled by evil force. there’s just no winning sometimes." "i’m glad vin is feeling peaceful cause i’m broken inside" Anyone else have awesome reaction stories?
  13. I saw a pretty awesome analysis about this on tumblr, actually. Here it is.

    Herald of the Night

    Wooooah! This is way awesome~!
  15. I want all these things to happen. Even E. Hyde's xP
  16. "Don't go bacon my heart." "I couldn't if I fried." From here.
  17. It's really silly that people are annoyed at Cinna and Rue being black. Even if they didn't catch it in the book, that's no reason to get all upset about it.
  18. @Link- Yes @Arondell- I was glad to see Katara as well! What I'm really hoping to see (and I think it will happen) is Korra meeting Aang in the spirit world.
  19. Ah, yeah, the shaky camera was annoying, especially when she was just walking around. You couldn't see the scenes as well because of that. But I really loved in the wasp scene. I think that was done really well. It's definitely one of my favorite scenes. One of the things I was disappointed with was when she and Peeta were being presented to the capitol. I think they could--and should--have made the fire more dramatic. It seemed a little wimpy to me.
  20. Personally, I didn't enjoy the books as much as other people. I thought they were pretty good, as in the plot was interesting but the style was a little lacking. And the next two books went a little downhill... On the other hand, I really enjoyed the movie. I found out from somewhere (I forgot where exactly) that Susan Collins had originally wanted to write the story as a screen-write, but those are hard to sell. I think the movie is one of the better book-to-movie adaptions I have seen...although I really haven't seen too many. I'm looking forward to how they handle the next two movies (if they will make them. Does anybody have news on this?). Anyway, I was curious to see your reactions and thoughts.
  21. Someone should make a band called Epic God Metal....
  22. I am super excited! It makes me want to watch Last Airbender again~
  23. ...And Ruin and Preservation are separate shards. They aren't half parts of one shard. Unless they become one shard when Sazed took them both up?
  24. For the Cosmere universe...it changes a lot. Sometimes it's this picture of galaxies/space with a crystal-like thing in the middle-ish (though not exactly. It's kind of hard to explain D:). Sometimes it's kind of a universal "solar system" thing....And it's always kind of vague, since I haven't given too much thought on it. But for the books/planets specifically, it's a lot clearer. When I think of Scadrial I imagine a lonely red/brown planet (for the trilogy). For Roshar it's a lot livelier, with some more color, but kind of...desperate. Most of the images I come up with other than things like that are directly from the books.
