  1. Something I noticed a while back was that the other two lights are named for how they were found. Towerlight found in a literal tower, and Warlight found in the middle of war. S, I've liked Parshlight personally but I'm sure there's some other options.
  2. watching midcore people be praised for doing the bare minimum while hard workers are berated for doing the same.
  3. @Through The Living Glass I'm from the southern US and I've gotta know. What about pineapples?
  4. I think it's possible but in the same way that NCIS 2 IDIOTS 1 KEYBOARD is possible. You'd need to know what parts of the corpse's web need replaced stich those into place, and likely still need a jumpstart of investiture to make it work. I have to imagine that if you want an unthinking army for cheap hemalurgy is the way but I also imagen a few breaths stored in a spike and the right command can make that happen.
  5. Well the principles at play here would only work because Koravellium can make binding deals on behalf of the power that is Cultivation. That's what would stop Cultivation altering Lift. since Koravellium can't do the same for Odium, or the other shards, she couldn't protect anyone from any other shard.
  6. Serious Q Trusk'our How much do you know about Hemolurgy at this point? I swear i must be ALL of it.
  7. So I had this thought a while back. If Lift’s boon was “to be unchangeable by an outside force” as granted by Cultivation herself. Would that also bind the power, like T-Odium and the battle of champions. If so that would make her a perfect vessel no? A human who can grow and and learn and adapt but won’t be warped by her shard.
  8. Unless it was confirmed in a WoB i haven't read (very possible) It isn't 100% confirmed but it is HEAVLY implied in the text. Numerous times it could have been mention, and should have been in Era 2. and it wasn't. This is pretty confirmed by WoBs less good alloys work, just not as well.
  9. Love odd questions! Like Alder said, they haven't used it on screen. Knowing that different orders use the same surge differently I suspect that Skybreaker Division is EXTRA dangerous in some way (My guess is it's spiritual in nature). and that's why they refrain whenever possible. Nale's cocky and Lift was only the 2nd ideal so more then abit over kill. Again like Alder said. They have it 100% sure of that, we just haven't seen it.
  10. I was on the site a few hours ago so it's new as of to day at least.
  11. Welcome to the shard! So, this actually neatly wraps together some of my favorite theories. (Namely Kaladin becomes Honour and Shallan freeing BAM) Needless to say I think you're on to something.
  12. Alder do you have like an AI trained to fish for WoBs. It's impressive how often you find just the right one.
  13. No such thing as dumb questions! Personally, I don't think evil is a thing in the cosmere, I do think she's going to be antagonistic to our POV characters, I do think many in world would call her evil, but I won't. Umm That is a WILD theory. Here's hoping that it's right. but wouldn't her being in the gem at all disprove it immediately?
  14. For what it's worth I'd think it best to treat it similarly as it has similarly potential for spoiler as anything else right? If not more so as it's been confirmed that things like the halfshard spren and oaths will be revealed.
  15. If I'm honest I feel like that can't be right. Like how is everyone going to get from where they were at the end of SL4 to where they need to be AND finish their jobs in TEN days? Is this Game of Thrones? Did we unlock fast travel? On the plus side we finally get to see the spiritual realm!?
  16. I think the issue with burning shard blades stems from cognitive aspect. Simply put Shardblades are spren and not metal therefore they can't be burned. We've seen that perception matters, Wax shooting a round after realizing there are THREE metal parts to a bullet, is an example. So I think that if enough was done to the spren or even if you just managed to forge them down to nuggets. it would work. but as long as people see "a spren" then it'll remain unburnable.
  17. The impression I've got is this. 'enlightenment' is just unmaking with more appealing name. That said they seem to be the act of rewriting all the honor bits of a spren with odium. if we assume that the broken oath, the act of deliberately going against their intent is what breaks a spren and makes them a dead eye then yes. I think that it enlightenment would convert them into a be a 'normal' Enlighted spren. However a enlightened cultivation spren. is NOT the same. And when you think about it replacing all of a beings honour with hate would have to change the. So, I'm disinclined to think that that's what will happen with Mayalaran because the resultant being simply wouldn't be Maya anymore. Honestly, I think the Ba-Ado-Mishram's dead-eye connection has to do with her control over connection and Roshar's investiture. in which case freeing her will undo most of the damage given time.
  18. Not to be reductionist or anything but I found this on reddit a while back seems relevant. (I'd post a link but ant remember this forums views on that.) PS: Why Valor + Mercy = Intelligence?
  19. If you already have some form of power you are 100% correct. If I’m a surgebinder spiritual understanding of my power is a game changer, same if I was a pewter misting or a real estate tycoon. BUT if you’re a normal person, then becoming mistborn as a side effect is just too tempting to pass. Information is only useful from positions of power. Thus. IF I had any other form of power I pick Atium, If I don’t, and I don’t I pick lerasium. Note I think this changes if it’s large amounts of the metal, If I got “one bead a day for the rest of my life. I think I’d take atuim. But even then that much lerasium means you become SUPREMELY influential in a matter of months. (reads Tamriel’s replay) .. (Rember’s the WoB where becoming a god metal savant makes you the shard bearer.) Actually, I’d pick lerasium to receive one be of a day no arguments.
  20. Granted but it has several "tasteful" holes in it. I wish I was a pewter misting.
  21. about thaaaat. I follow you Robin soooo...
  22. You spin me right round, baby, right round~ Like a record, baby, right round, round, round~ You spin me right round, baby, right round~ Like a record, baby, right round, round, round~ ... I'll see myself out...
  23. Bagel... Blueberry! Or anything with poppy seed~
  24. Tress spoilers? VERY minor if so.
  25. Honestly it's like this. Kelseir's arc is done, we saw it in era 1 and it was great but then secret history happened and suddenly Kel was 'alive' a sliver and entirely obsessed with power, People call it security, call it survival, call it whatever you like but if the shoe fits wear it. He wants power clearly manipulated the Lord Mistborn into making the Bands of Mourning, He bullied a formed a less than moral secret organization to rob the cosmere, possessed a corpse to try and become metalbron again and as if all of that wasn't enough, he's actively contradicting a shard on what's best for their world. so, I ask you what's next for our crew leader turned profit? They're only two reason's an author keeps a hero alive for hundreds of years. givin all that I ask you will Kelsier survivor of Hathsin be like unbroken Talenel? Or will he be like Nale? Despite all of that I like Kel but I just the writing on the walls and someone has to be the big bad, and Kel, Hoid and Odium are the only options. With Odium is being held at by just the splinters of one shard and I think Hoid would hurt alot more, so if I had to pick... /shrug
