Thinking of changing my username for the first time (not counting Ookla month)
-
Why did I suddenly decide to be active on the Shard today?
-
Why are you "Members2"? What does this mean?
-
Hey y'all!
I'd just like to tell everyone (especially @Through The Living Girl and @Aeoryi) that I tend to be on the Shard less on weekends, but if you ever want any support from me or have any questions, tag me and I'll show up when I can. In fact, do that on weekdays too, as sometimes I can be overwhelmed by large amounts of posts and don't know what to reply to.

haha 67 rep

The audacity. I should have known.
(No one else needs to worry about the context)

Have you played/are you familiar with the video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?

(@certifiedcranedriver Least passionate E33 fan be like)
@CoderDrag0n8 It good game, in fact it has one of the best stories I've ever seen in a video game, and there were some things in ORV that reminded me of it.

Had a fun idea for a Brandon Sanderson related forum game, then realized it would be my first post on this forum actually related to the books in months. (I'll post it soon)

And Ookla month is over. I managed to do less GMing than before it started. Ah well.
Also I noticed that there's no restrictions on changing your birthday on your profile, so you could hypothetically change it every day so that it's always your birthday. Curious.

Considering whether to post in the (unofficial) religious discussion thread.
Pros:
- I absolutely love arguing
- Maybe I'll get some rep
- All of my followers would know I'm atheist (wait they already know by reading this SU now.)
Cons:
- Arguing with theists for too long annoys me
- It will be completely meaningless, I won't convince anyone of my view, and they won't convince me of theirs

Hello! I saw that you had some blogs, and I was thinking of starting one myself, and I was just wondering if you had any advice on what to do with them?
-
top right, go to create, then click blog
and I use them for a lot of things, mostly for RP Worldbuilding (copied stuff from the docs) and short stories (from when i was a writer). and just one for random things i like.
Usually, in RPs where Worldbuilding is heavy and prevelant, there is a doc, but not everyone can access said doc, so I use my blogs to copy the doc to a more communal place

I call myself Ookla the Game Master, and yet I haven't done anything in the queer RP thread for like a week. I should probably get back to that.
-
My Ookla name has caused my notifications button to move very slightly, and this displeases me greatly.

Updated my about me section for the first time since making this account, might add more there later.

I've never cared much about Game of the Year, since I feel that the panel of judges doesn't truly accurately represent what games are the best, but three out of the six nominees this year are games I played and enjoyed (Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Hades II, and Hollow Knight Silksong.)
I do think it's nearly guaranteed that Expedition 33 wins, because it got the most nominations, is an RPG (a genre that tends to do well), and just is really high-quality.
As for which one I enjoyed the most? Idk, Expedition 33 had one of the best stories in a video game that I've ever experienced (excluding Undertale and Deltarune), but both of the other games (imo) had better gameplay. Still, I don't usually like turn-based RPG gameplay, and it's impressive that E33 had an example of it that I really liked.
Hades II, I don't know if it's the most fun, but it'll probably have the most playtime, owing to its being a roguelite. (I guess, while playing, say, Silksong, I'm having more fun at any given moment, but with Hades II, while I'm having less fun in the moment (still a lot of fun), I have more fun overall because there are way more hours of playtime to get out of it.
Maybe I'll post more about my love of video games here later.

I once had a friend who gave me incredible emotional support when I came out to them as trans. They even gave me an idea for my IRL name, which I used. And then we went to different high schools. Over the summer, and during the next school year, they would return my texts less and less, sometimes days after I texted. I don't know why. They would give excuses, but it seemed impossible that they missed them all, and for so long. Eventually, it got so frustrating that I stopped texting them. Haven't in months.
I can't be mad at them. I'm frustrated as hell, but I can't be mad. They were the reason I stayed sane while I was closeted to everyone else. And my name is a testament to that.
I don't know if there's something to learn from this. Maybe life is just annoying sometimes.

I think it’s just life honestly, I had something similar I had a best friend and then he moved to Florida then back to my state but a dif town and I saw him the other day and he’s a piece of rust now. Idk ig I’m saying it sucks but yah since then I’ve made tons of friends and I remeber him for who he was when he was my friend. This was unnecessarily long *hugs*

My computer science project was just to code something that fit some requirements. I decided to code chess, but as it turns out, it's really hard to check if a move is legal or not. But I realized: Why do I need to check that? There's nothing stopping people from cheating in physical chess, so why not just leave it up to the honor system?

Currently suffering from the infinite weight of school assignments. (Just finished one, have a test tomorrow, as well as a presentation, and math homework, and then I have a computer science project due Thursday, and also a monologue I need to have by the end of the week, and two assignments relating to that by the end of the week.)

Yesterday, I was playing modded Terraria (Fargo's Mod), and was fighting the boss Lifelight. I decided to check my attempt count. I click on the attempt log and...
"67 attempts"
I swear the universe is in on the meme.

Should I do status updates? What do I put in them?
