    The vines come back, faster, thicker, darker, draining the light out of Sleeper. "We can't." Clay said. He knocked on where they should be able to come in, and an invisible barrier rippled. "You've trapped yourself in there."

    The vines grab her too, wrapping around her arms so she can't move, leaving long, thing slices. They spread, enclosing around their arms and up their torso. Clay and Weaver glance at each other. Great.

    "I did?" Elan says, "Oh yeah! I did! Do you need anything?" Elan hands him a can.

    Black liquid vines shoot out the walls, grabbing sleeper. They're covered in small, razor-sharp knifelike protrusions. "Sleeper! Careful!"
