“I think it will.” He wrapped an arm around her waist. “That might help too.”

She closed his eyes. He couldn’t see. What was going on? What did she not want him to see?

“I do.” Her voice was calm, almost emotionless.

“I can.”

She shrugged, not liking at him.

Edgar felt the poison lock up his body. Just before he couldn’t move any more, he shifted his hand towards hers slightly. He still wanted to be with her, even with what he’d done.

She just shrugged, not moving. She ignored him, head bowed.

Edgar didn’t answer. He didn’t trust himself to he’d probably just hurt her more. Instead, he just shook his head and tossed the ambrosia out. The paralysis poison … he took it out and stuck his thumb in the bottle. Then, before thinking about it, he put his thumb in his mouth. He immediately felt the effects of the poison, making his body stop functioning right.

He scrambled back too, looking very afraid. He had hit her. Why had he hit her? She was his girlfriend, he was supposed to protect her. But instead, he was just making everything worse. He bowed his head in shame. He was scared. Scared that he’d hurt her again.

Edgar felt something hit his side, knocking him to the ground. He swung his fist, feeling it connect with the monster. Then he looked up. It was Jenny. You stupid child. Why are you like this. Why are you even alive. He stopped moving, but his entire body began trembling. He’d almost killed someone. It was good Jenny had stopped him.

Edgar screamed. He’d hurt her, he’d hurt Jenny. He’d kill him. He’d kill Roy. He struggled, tearing himself out of his bonds, then ran to Jenny. He took the spear out of her side, and put ambrosia in her mouth. Then he sprinted towards Roy, his dagger held out. He raised it over his limp body.

“Ok.” She went and got a plate piled with food, then joined them, sitting a few seats away from the rest.”

“Alright.” She stood.

He was struggling to get out of the plant bonds.

“A little.”

“I don’t really care.”

She didn’t answer.

“No.”

“Addison.” She still didn’t look at him.
