“As evidenced by you not being able to serve these two gentlemen at once, obviously you do need help,” he said with a wink. But, seeing the look in her eye, he let it drop and left to the kitchen, where he started pilfering food. “Not anything else right now, although I wouldn’t mind a drink, I think I’ll go have one,” he said before leaving.

“I do actually, you see, this woman here won’t hire me. Could you get her to?”

Alex stepped out. “Hi, how can I help you?”

“Well if you’d hire me then I’d have a reason to be here. You know, I got fired from the last job so I could come work here. I would never accidentally set a shop on fire. But go, get to your precious customers.”

Alex just laughed. “If you say so.”

“Well the first thing I’d like you to get me is the truth, but I know you went tell me. I’ve known you long enough to know you have your secrets.”

“You’re smiling, is tonight a good night for business?” Alex asked.

Seth began to eat, digging in to his food. He hadn’t realized how hungry he was.

Seth grabbed her hand, then took her to the kitchens, where he grabbed two platters of food. He took her back to the dining hall, then set the food on the large central table and sat in one of the seats, motioning for her to do the same.

Seth walked over to her, than tapped his stomach, trying to ask if she was hungry.

Seth woke. He was absolutely exhausted, keeping the dreamrealm open for that long was harder than anything he’d done with his magic before. It was totally worth it though. He smiled fondly, remembering the experience, hearing her voice. Then he remembered how much pain she had been in. That girl…he had to go find her. He had slept for so long, she had probably already finished the first English lesson he had set up for her. He stood, then slowly walked out of his room. I watch and eat popcorn. Then I take the sandwich with the powers granted to me by the Remembering One, who remembered that I was supposed to have the sandwich.

Seth pulled her close and held her. After a short time, she noticed a bead of sweat on his forehead. ”I’m not going to be able to hold this open much longer, I’ll see you in the morning.” They both disappeared.

Seth sat, debating for a moment, then wrapped one of his arms around her torso. ”It’s going to be ok, you’re here now.”

Seth walked over to her, then sat and motioned for her to do the same. ”Are you ok? How can I help you?”
