Edgar followed her, smiling. It was hard not to be happy around Jenny, he was learning that quickly.

“Hopefully not anytime soon,” he said with a laugh. He seemed to be shaking less, returning back to his normal self.

“We are very sorry. If you would dig us a tunnel to the surface then we could leave right now.”

“That’s beautiful,” he whispered, awed. He pointed at Elysium. “That’s where Kylee is, I know it.”

“Yes, your tunnel. We fell in when a section of the roof experienced a cave in. We are not here by choice, and we will leave as soon as possible.”
