  1. I'm pretty sure the whole point of the revelation at the end of TWoK is that Honor can't hear Dalinar. When I went back and read the things Honor had said to Dalinar, I couldn't find any point where Honor was definitely interacting with Dalinar, everything I saw could stand on its own as a speech. And, as Dalinar says. Honor is dead. He's not talking to anyone.
  2. To me, that just means that the ability to summon the Blade is attached to the Spiritweb somewhere, not necessarily that the Shardblade is in the Spiritual Realm.
  3. I don't think that you'd need to use the actual tattoo or ink itself. Since kandra are able to mimic things like, freckles, birthmarks, and skin tone, it seems to me that mimicking a tattoo wouldn't be too much trouble.
  4. Do you have the quote on the Shardblades going to the Spiritual Realm? Because, I too thought that had been confirmed, but I was unable to find it anywhere. :/
  5. Make sure you get the good kind of henna. Some of the cheaper kinds are made of tar or something, and can cause allergic reactions and scarring.
  6. A few facts on Slivers and Splinters So it's pretty apparent that the Lord Ruler, while having Shard-like power, did not hold the whole of Preservation. I don't know what you mean by, "releases," but, I'd say personally that holding a tenth to a fifth of a Shard's power is probably enough to leave the residue of a Sliver on a person. This also makes it seem that you don't need to hold the majority of a power, although now it makes me think that a tenth to a fifth might be a bit too low. "Large" is such a relative term when we don't have any concept of how much power a Shard holds. I don't really know how you would even hold a fraction of a Shard's power, aside from at a pool. We don't really know if people who give up large Splinters can become Slivers.
  7. Okay. Ruin gradually loses power as it leaks into the world as atium. It becomes separate from the power he is actually able to utilize. In order to get that power back, Ruin needed to find the atium and metabolize it himself. The kandra collected as much atium as possible, to keep Ruin weak; both through contracts and the Lord Ruler's secret caravans. Once Elend and his army burned it all up, Ruin couldn't get at it, it was separate from him, so he'd have to wait for it all to leak back into the world again.
  8. Hmm... Did you read Hero of Ages? I don't really want to spoil anything more for you than I just did. I assumed that you'd read Hero of Ages because you were rereading Well of Ascension.
  9. Actually, he RAFO'd what compounding memory would do, saying it was a plot point for a future book. So not necessarily pointless.
  10. Kel paid out the contract in full beforehand. I imagine the kandra that he arranged the deal with had it sent back to the Homeland, where it was stored in the Trust and burned by Elend's army of Seers.
  11. I'm definitely leaning towards the planet being responsible. The Well is attached to Scadrial's magnetic pole, they were tied to one another, so it wouldn't surprise me if the Well simply adjested to refilling in 1024 of the shorter years.
  12. Here's a quote that I think helps to answer this question.
  13. Agreed. That is a marvelous question.
  14. Perhaps the "fallen title," is the Highprince of War?
  15. It's definitely worth finishing. We can explain some things better once you're done.
  16. I wasn't vouching for what it meant either way Phantom, just trying to provide the quote that seemed to be the one Weiry was looking for.
  17. Here's the quote for you guys about the time travel of attributes.
  18. I doubt that there will be an Ars Arcanum, I'm pretty sure that's a cosmere book only thing.
  19. It's a common theory, but I'm not sure there's a quote... I'll keep looking for it, but I'm not sure it exists. Also, you should probably know that Zas won't be around for over a year, he's gone on mission.
  20. Due to the discussion of larkin and the Rysn video, I'm going to slightly edit the title of this topic, so people aren't inadvertently spoiled on Stormlight 2
  21. Well, I've never seen that said anywhere, but if it's the case, then they'll know for sure whether it's a metal they can burn. If they can't sense it, then they can just throw it up. Anyway, I thought we were talking about Inquisitors?
  22. They could always just swallow the metals. You can distinguish reserves once they're inside of you.
  23. I'm fairly certain that quote was from before Brandon discovered the error.
  24. Kel definitely didn't sneak away. His escape disrupted the whole atium collection process, a problem for House Venture that Elend mentions in TFE. I'd imagine with atium and some of the basic metals he wouldn't really have too many problems. He might have even had some pewter from cups and the like; that's how Vin got it.
