  1. Personally, I see Odium's equivalent of the Heralds as being the Unmade.
  2. Well, it's made pretty clear several times in TWoK that no one is going anywhere over the eastern half of the Plains, considering there are no plateaus remaining there. The Alethi hold the western side, and the north and south just lead to mountains. I'd say they're pretty well stuck.
  3. I still don't buy the idea of Memory being a Surge, or even Shallan's memories being tied to Surgebinding. There's never any mention of spheres being drained when she takes a memory, so I'm inclined to believe it comes from elsewhere.
  4. Devoid of any context, when I read the word, "bindagent" it makes me think of the substance that binds one thing to another. If that's the case though, it would imply whatever is chaining the Shadowblaze to the Rithmatist is conscious, which doesn't make much sense.
  5. What I want to know is how much an effect the amount of attribute you had stored in a metalmind has on how much power you get when you Compound that metalmind.
  6. I'm not saying that she had something to do with the Seventeenth Shard before her capture, but if you're a competent person, which Shai is, hunting after a man that another organization is known to be looking for, there's always the chance that they would end up crossing paths.
  7. Show me a source from an interview or the books and I'll be happy to remove it They're not made up, but specific percentages of alloys can vary significantly as explained in the books. We're looking for the composition of Allomancer's bendalloy and such.
  8. No problemo. Okay, list has been updated, and I'm shifting a few things around. I've taken out some questions that I believe have already been answered, but if anyone feels like I'm wrong in removing one of them, feel free to challenge it. I don't want unanswered questions removed from this list any more than you do. Removed: You mentioned some shardworlds had people before the shattering. If that's the case, was the sDNA of the existing inhabitants subsequently altered by the local Shardholder to give the people their investiture or did the Shardholder simply add onto the exiting sDNA? Now that you have altered your timeline somewhat to solve a scheduling conflict, does Warbreaker still occur approximately at the same time as Alloy of Law or has it been moved? If so when does it occur now? Can you give us any hints about the Cosmere timeline, like events on different Shardworlds that occurred concurrently? About how many years occur between Elantris and the end of Hero of Ages? Is there a spren inside Szeth’s Oathstone? If so is Szeth's Oathstone a fabrial? What event between WoA and HoA gave Demoux the scar on his head? Why did OreSeur sign up for Kelsier's plan? Was he forced to because of his contract? Or did he actually want to? Is it possible to spike Allomancy from a person before they snap? What do you call a human from each Shardworld (demonyms like Scadrialeese)? Have you done the Scribbler revisions yet, or is that something still on your plate? EDITED: From: What are the exchange rates of gems on Roshar? To: Which of the ten Polestones isn’t used in spheres? Where do zircon, amethyst, heliodor, smokestone, and topaz fall on the levels of value? From: Where do Kelsier and Marsh get their nobility from? I know that Marsh snapped after obligators got their mom, so I assume it's from their father? Or are they second generation? To: What noble family do Kelsier and Marsh get their nobility from? ADDED: If Ati had somehow managed to give up Ruin and returned to being a regular person, would his mind have gradually reverted from its corruption by Ruin’s intent, or would he always be determined to destroy? Does the weeping occur on the entire planet at once? Does it correspond to a Node in the Highstorms? Are the seasons regional or planetary EDIT: Embarrassingly enough, the OP was last updated one year ago tomorrow XD
  9. Here, I'm going to update the OP, so I'll take care of them. However, if I'm remembering correctly, the Kel question was asking about what noble family his father was from. If it wasn't, I'm going to revise it so that's what it asks, because that is important.
  10. I believe it's been confirmed that metal from anywhere in the cosmere would work. It's not like the atomic structure of the metal alters from world to world. The shape of the metal and the alloy what counts, not where it's from. Also, I'd be interested to see the quote about Hoid fighting Rand. It rings a bell, but I can't remember quite where...
  11. The Allomantic and Feruchemical tables that were sold as prints to people. There are images of the Allomantic table online, but I don't know if there's a high quality Feruchemical table around the internet.
  12. Nice! I'm rather excited that the protagonist of Steelheart and I share the same first name, David.
  13. Yolen is probably still habitable because the main five book Dragonsteel sequence occurs there centuries after Liar of Partinel. I wouldn't think of Galldon and Demoux as terribly weak, personally. Assuming Demoux has access to atium, that's one of the more potent non-Mistborn abilities. Galladon, assuming he's gotten better at AonDor after all these years could be majorly dangerous as well. We don't really know anything about Blunt, so there's a possibility that he's fairly powerful in his own right. I think there's also a fairly good possibility that the Seventeenth Shard don't know for sure where Hoid is, and have simply sent scouts to all the major Shardworlds chasing rumors about a man with an arrow-like face. Back a bit more on topic, I said the same thing a while ago about Shai, I see her being a member of the Seventeenth Shard as a real possibility. I wonder if you could create a soulstamp that kept you younger? It would stretch the bounds of plausibility, so probably not.
  14. Glad to have you here Cartith! We love to theorize as well, so you should fit right in
  15. Problem is, every full Windrunner that has appeared has been wearing Shardplate. So there's obviously some way around it. I think that there's indication that Plate was once bound to individuals like Blades are still, so that could be a potential solution. Another is perhaps that, while Szeth uses the powerset of the Windrunners, he is not himself a Windrunner and is not bound to an honorspren.
  16. Yo Leras, hook a brotha up with some Feruchemy? But seriously, I agree. It seems unlikely that Hoid would want to leave himself open to that kind of mental vulnerability.
  17. Lightweaving is a power of both the Radiants and some people on Yolen, so you're exactly right. Both places have the same magic, they just probably draw power from different sources.
  18. Heh, I read the Rithmatist for far too long the night I got it. I was supposed to be writing an essay, making up like 3 math assignments, making a powerpoint, and studying for two French quizzes. The next day did not go well...
  19. Yes, I agree with Voidus one hundred percent. You can usually find some wiggle room to keep an unlikely theory possible, but there comes a point when it starts to be unbelieveable. I don't think that is the case. The Lord Ruler was granted an instinctive understanding of the Metallic Arts by virtue of simply holding the power at the Well. Sazed, after all, knew about the four other regular Allomantic metals instinctively. No one needed to tell him. He holds far more power than the Lord Ruler ever did. If there are other metals that can be used, he doesn't need to be told what they are.
  20. I don't think that part was ever made clear to us.
  21. A part of me wonders how many of the wild chalklings still at Nebrask were once the original inhabitants of the American isles. I'm sure all of them didn't turn into chalklings, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least some did.
  22. I would like to see this quote, if possible. It makes some sense, but I don't remember it having been said.
  23. The silver/tin switch is likely due to the fact that silver used to have tin's powers. Brandon still calls Tineyes, "Silvereyes" on occasion. Yeah, I've read the Eleventh Metal. Kel kills, Shelzer, a noble Mistborn for practice. When he's defeated he finds that Shezler's research on the possibility of an Eleventh metal.
  24. The fact that there has been talk of an Emperor's Soul movie makes me really excited! I think it would be difficult to do well, but I'd love to see it on the big screen.
