    Welcome to the Shard! If you could make an intro post listing books you have read, or haven't read if that is shorter, we could help avoid spoilers. I guess the Shard is shaped by perception, ex: Odium is emotion but Odium only means hatred, so this could work. I personally feel Cultivation and Ruin work in this way, because they can create or destroy to do the opposite. I personally Discord fits better with Preservation and Ruin, as these forces fight to not let the other have their way. Stalemate rather than cooperation. Other possibilities: Honor and Autonomy: obeying the rules while being yourself. Odium and Wisdom: emotion and logical working together.

    I have a funny story about pi actually. My English teacher asked us what P.I.E was, being the reasons for writing: being persuade, inform and entertain. Without hesitating I listed 3.14159, the digits I have most committed to memory.

    Yes, it was that one. That is true, an ashspren wouldn't mind too much I would expect, and with Marsh, it probably helps he was essentially jumped and spike, and the difficulties come from the spike scaring away spren. Do you think his actions under Ruin's control would interfere, or when he was less controlled, or would they interpret that as a violation of free will? Probably subjective based on how the Spren treats oaths maybe.

    I saw a WoB a while ago (as per law of WoB's I can't find it when I need it) but it says that having a spike would give enough room for a Spren bond, though they might not like the spike all that much. The differences in the perfect and physical versions of you being the "cracks" makes a lot of sense, here's an upvote!

    I've heard that song, and it's really good. It gets pumped at about the "HALFWAY DOOOONE" part. Realy gets you pumped. They started white, but I Ruined them, so they are a nice shiny black now. Make great spike if you catch my drift *wink wink*nudge nudge*

    I thought their written language were vertically symmetrical, as in the top is a reflection of the bottom. The words themselves aren't symmetrical, and the shorthand words are just shortened.

    Probably something about how Odium may or may not have been prepping him as his champion since Dalinar refused him. He is angry about it when he talks with Dalinar, and it drives towards the date of the duel being set. Odium messed with his Breaths, removing memories. The Father Machine tried to steal his Investiture and Hoid locked up because he had prepared in case anyone else did what Odium did.

    If it weren't for the names, I would say it just so happens to sound like it, but not only is Jasnah copy paste, but Kalad is the Herald and Kaladin's namesake

    Is this Way of Kings Prime? I haven't looked at it before but this sounds like the original idea for the SA, like how there is a copy of Dragonsteel that Sanderson is rewriting

    Rebar is metal rods put in concrete, but can we Push on it. Iron lines are severely weakened when they go through a wall, and is this interference enough that we can't use conventional roads as spike roads like in TFE?
