  1. "Uh... a water gun and a knife?" "...yeah."
  2. "My family," she said. "The box had spores."
  3. She moved the knife so that it was in both her and Tinker's hands and grabbed the box with her now-free hand. She tried not to cry.
  4. She grabbed her knife and his hand and they followed the others.
  5. She nodded. "Thank you," she said weakly.
  6. "But we just got here!" Lily said sadly. "It's okay, Lil. I'll be okay." "Win... please," Meron said. Marewill smiled sadly and let go of their hands.
  7. Marewill's mother put her forehead against the glass, and so did she. "I love you." "Love you too, Mom." She was about to start crying. "I'll try to win." Her mother kissed the glass, tears running down her face. Marewill gave her siblings' hands each another squeeze. @SmilingPanda19
  8. They stretched their arms out and Marewill took the lollipops. "I love you," she whispered. Her mother squatted down. "You need to win, Mare. We can't lose you too." She was on the verge of tears as well.
  9. "A lolla- lollybu- um..." Lily tried to remember what it was called.
  10. Lily and Meron did, and Marewill grabbed their hands. "You'll win, right?" Meron asked sadly. "I-I'll do my best," Marewill said, starting to lose the crying battle.
  11. "What does 'arse' mean?" Lily asked.
  12. She ran over to where it was and knelt in front of her siblings. "Willy!" Lily said happily. Marewill smiled, trying (and mostly succeeding) not to cry.
  13. She took his hand and Meron's.
  14. "Better?" Meron asked.
  15. "Can we see her?" Lily asked excitedly. ~~ Marewill started and wiped her face.
  16. "So... she'll come home?" Meron asked.
  17. "We've been trying," she said. "It's kind of scary," Lily said quietly. ~~ Marewill sniffed and wiped her nose.
  18. They looked up at her and she walked over. They sat down on either side of her with Lily between her and Èmeric.
  19. "Thanks," she said curtly. She didn't look back up.
