    She rubbed the adhesive parts on. ”We should probably be able to pry it open.”

    She continued looking into his eyes and eventually nodded a little. She put a hand up to stop him. “You can actually see what you’re doing. You should put it on.”

    “No… don’t. You helped, ultimately.” She sighed. ”But… but why didn’t you just let it kill me?”

    “… You’re right, I won’t. I don’t know where that came from, I apologize. But I’m sure he won’t either.” She smirked. “He’d be too scared of you to even get close.” She tucked him in under the covers and insured the puppy was in his arms.

    “AGH!” Her free hand darted to her nose and her eyes squeezed shut.

    She blew out. “Okay, okay.” It seemed more to herself than him. She held the cloth on and her eyes closed.

    She pulled the snowy hand down. Her nose was slightly crooked, and some of the blood had seeped into the snow. There was a decently sized gash on her right cheek from the eagle’s beak. She stared at him in a moment, before quietly saying, “You tell me. I just know it hurts.”

    3.5 hour road trip to youth retreat! But the minivan has a TV so we’re watching Frozen, all five of us youth are singing along.

    And there’s only two girl youth.

    We also have HTTYD2, Despicable Me, and another movie.

    It’s AMAZING.

    Also I will not have much access to my phone over the duration of the retreat (about four days), I’ll get on when I can.

      HTTYD2 was my family's ultimate car trip movie.

      Well, that and the Lego Movie.

      But our new van doesn't have a TV so that era has passed.

      We just had a small group singing worship around a bonfire, and it was an amazing moment

    She propped herself up on her elbows, terror still etched on her face. She touched a hand to her cheek, and the three middle fingers came back deep red. She gripped a fistful of snow and held it to her cheek and nose.

    She moved her head to dodge, but not quite fast enough. The beak cut into her cheek.

    She yelped and her nose hit the ground hard. It started to bleed. It was broken.
