I’d like to preface this by saying WoR is probably my favorite book in the series (shocking I know) and at present a contender for my favorite book in general. So my suggested thought in no way takes away from my enjoyment from the book. Felt like saying that. Anyway. So does anyone else think Kaladins third ideal would have been more effective as a ark if done with Amaram instead of Elhokar? I still think it works great with Elhokar but Kaladin reeeally hated Amaram as we know. I feel like it would have been more affective in showing Kaladins growth in wanting to protect all those he can. Just a thought curious what any of y’all have to say about it.

Probably Elend. Haven’t finished HoA but so far he’s probably my favorite despite how much I relate to Vin.

Honestly this is so much better than the baby champion theory. Referring to the third thought I mean. I would hate and love to see Kaladin be pit against Adolin. Though Dalinar said he’d be his own champion so we’ll have to see.

I was just reading a post that mentioned the loophole in the contract. I haven’t thought of it since finishing RoW other than reading some posts around the baby champion theory. So does anyone have any ideas what it could be? The baby champion theory comes to mind but anything else?

So I just finish WoA a little bit ago. While I’ve been reading it though I never noticed the main man himself. Is he not in the book or did I just miss him?

Agreed on the tower, I can’t think of anything else that that would be referring too. He is the king of Urithiru though right? I feel like something was said about that in the beginning of RoW but I could be wrong. I haven’t thought of that with the spear, interesting, could make sense. Other than what you said about the spear I don’t see how it would relate to the fight. The quote in whole, to me, seems to be more about someone taking up a position involving all four things mentioned.

It would be interesting. My bet’s more on him either staying a normal man, or fully reviving Maya and becoming a Edgedancer.

He’s one of my main thoughts of who it could be referring too as well. I’ve thought about Dalinar but the spear doesn’t really fit. Yeah that’s true, maybe Gavilar… sorta with some of the stuff revealed in S5’s prologue.

Could be interesting if it was about Adolin. Maybe something that happens in the fifth book.

Jasnah has replaced him though, so how does that fit?

I think it would defeat the purpose of his ark so far to kill him off as things are starting to get better. However the story definitely could be what becomes of him. Maybe in the back half.

I’ve heard a similar theory on YouTube that being Gavinor becoming the champion. But how did you reach to your conclusions with Gavilar coming back and Dalinar taking up honors shard?

I put Windrunner though every time I take the test it goes between Windrunner and Skybreaker. Heh same here fella
