  1. i know i just posted

    but i'm editing

and i really like how these sentences turned out

His eyes searched her face, scrutinizing.

She wasn’t sure what he was looking for, but she prayed he wouldn’t find it.

or maybe this which one's better

His eyes searched her face, scrutinizing.

She wasn’t sure what he was looking for, but whatever it was, she prayed it would elude him.

I personally like the first one for its simplicity

I do rly like the "whatever it was"; "elude" just seems lofty to me idk maybe i'm just uncultured :P

      Mmmmmm it's good!

I will say, I don't think "elude" matches the rest of the sentence.

      Like, the feeling of it

  3. Hate boiled up in her stomach, but she nodded. "You know what? Fine. Gods know what you need that for."
  4. uh uh alia i think? and you're good lol "No, they are!! They're really really good!"
  5. Corysande scowled at her, seething. She’d show her. She turned and started for the exit.
  6. She glared. “I think you could use some respect for others yourself. But alright, your highness. What is it you want to say to me?”
  7. “I think you forget I’m a goddess myself,” she growled.
  8. “HOLT!” She called. When there was no answer, she stormed back into the palace. “You can’t punish a mortal for my actions!”
  9. Her face darkened. “It’s my job to meddle in mortal affairs, Aphrodite. And if a few of your imbecile lovers are affected by that, so be it.” She let the Thread dissipate, though. “It’s not my fault your fragile ego can’t take a few hits, and it’s not my job to keep you in line. I recommend you stay in your place so things don’t get nasty around here. Don’t forget I rub elbows with Hades.”
  10. She scowled and turned to Aphrodite. “Which one should I kill first, hmm? Iphaceus?” She drew a thread that was his favorite color.
  11. “You can’t do that! That’s against the rules! Zeus, make her take it back!”
  12. “Neither are your mortal side lovers,” she shot back.
  13. She glared. “That was part of the curse, okay? Geez.” okay
  14. “I……” She glanced away. “I don’t remember.”
  15. “We’re mortal. Feyre’s a tree. Ravena’s finding the countercurse,” she said begrudgingly. She didn’t come here to be scolded by Zeus.
  16. She sighed, crossing her arms again. “Fine. We… we’re cursed.”
