  1. the fact that the location of the ancient, megalithic egyptian labyrinth has been confirmed for 17 years and theorized/known for even longer and yet it is just sitting under the ground filling up with water and nobody’s digging it up

i understand that there are like a lot of reasons archaeologists arent allowed to (mainly the egyptian government), but i think it’s crazy that the government is just letting quite possibly the most astonishing piece of architecture/the discovery of the century just like rot while half of it fills up water

    WE KNOW WHERE IT IS

IT’S LITERALLY LABELED ON GOOGLE MAPS

WE KNOW THAT IT’S BEEN AROUND FOR LIKE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF YEARS WHY HAVE WE NOT DUG IT UP 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 this will anguish me probably for the rest of my life so if you also would like to be anguished go learn more about it, unchartedx has a really good video on it (it’s like 2 hours long but it covers a lot).

    LIKE THE LABYRINTH IS LITERALLY

    WE KNOW WHERE IT IS

    WE KNOW

    WHY

WHY ARE WE JUST LEAVING IT IN THE GROUND

    😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

i know but like there’s not a ton of an effort being made

they could raise the money if they really wanted to

theres just so much hush-hush and stuff

like one of the archaeologists who was working on it quite literally got jailed

all this goes to say that as a history and archaeology nerd, it very much pains me that they haven’t dug it up/aren’t digging it up

but yk i have hope for the future

       maybe
