There is nothing wrong with not making the first move...

But as someone who did,

I will say,

It helps.

You would be surprised how many people feel like you do. I did for a long time. Taking the first step is intimidating, but so SO rewarding. And if you expect the other person to make that move, then you will be disappointed more often than not. I will say this, however: be very careful who that first step is with. I could have had so many relationships, but I waited. And eventually, I found the most perfect girl in the world. (I refuse to budge on that point.) So I went out of my way to make the first move. That relationship is now four years old and only looking up.

i think maybe i’m scared to make the first move because the first time i did was this guy whom i liked for FIVE YEARS. when i told him i liked him, he shrugged, took a bite of a cookie he was holding, said “good to know”, and walked away. he now avoids me like the plague haha

and i don’t care abt him anymore but like that rejection HURT

i also can’t seem to catch feelings but uh
