Kind of complicated… 

he was born in Riese, a tribe whose abilities are based on the heart—Ev can detect lies. He had a little sister named Telena who made him very happy, and he and his parents and Tel were a very happy family. He made friends with Mira Dethridge when he was a kid, and later he fell for her and had a romantic relationship with her—until she massacred the Riesen tribe. (Long story, not getting into it right now) he was the only one that survived due to Mira’s emotional ties to him. He often has nightmares and blames himself for the Riesen Massacre. After The Massacre, he found Quialla [Lastname not disclosed], and Rissa and Olux [Lastname—I def didn’t forget this, nope] and went nomadic. He’s been living with them ever since.

He’s kind of timid and awkward but he’s also totally adorable. He’s very guarded and hates talking about his past. He’s stubborn but soft on the inside. He makes time for having fun and taking breaks from life.

Hadley was born Hadley Helena Tarondotter, princess of Elysia and second in line to the throne. She was trained for battle from a very young age (so don’t mess with her or she’ll mess you up) and excelled in combat—but specifically hand-to-hand and sword fighting. When she turned ten, her parents began choosing suitors, one of whom was Jaeger (if you’ve ever seen Pacific Rim it’s like how they say it—I swear I didn’t name him after the mechs lol) Yergenson. Hadley really liked him but did not trust him, and as soon as they were engaged, the power-hungry teen staged an accident for Turner (Hadley’s older brother and heir to the throne) and murdered him. Hadley was an eye witness because things went wrong, so he ran. Hadley followed, vowing to avenge her brother. Over a few years, she lost his trail, and one person had information and promised to get more—if she worked for him. Ludwig employed her as a bounty hunter and assassin in exchange for good pay and information on Jaeger.

She has trust issues but she’s very headstrong. She’s stubborn and doesn’t like to mess around. She’s down to business and doesn’t mind passing up fun for a chance to improve or get paid.
