  1. Corin grinned darkly. “You could.” Don’t think about it. It’s a deal. It’s merchandise, not a person. It’s them, not you. Don’t let it get into your head. “You have two Changes. If it isn’t done by then…” Corbin’s grin widened. “You won’t like what happens then.”
  2. Corin hums softly. “If they’re of no use to you, then they’re of no use to me. I can give you a coat and promise you pewter. But you’ll need to do better than that. I can trade in information, depending on just how useful it is.” He leans forward, eyes strangely mirthful. Much too mirthful for what he said next. “I also trade in blood.”
  3. “That depends,” Corin said, “on what you’re willing to trade.” The corner of his mouth twitched up. “And on if you want anything more.”
  4. Hey, it’s not my fault, I live here. Sometimes.
  5. And me @Anguished_One :(((( OY I was going so good, I was good since this morning.
  6. It’s locked. “No pewter right now,” Corin said. “But if you’d like to make a deal now, I can let you know when it’s available.”
  7. Woah, that’s awesome!! And so sweet.
  8. Corin watched her for a long moment. His smile was frozen. He could have called out. He should have called out. But that would have been a stumble in an otherwise flawless dance. That would have been more than enough for them to kill him just to see what it did to her. So he picked up a rag, and, almost mechanically, began cleaning the glasses. He hoped she gambled well. @Ancient Elantrian
  9. He hears Corin’s voice in his ear. “You can come for your spren now.”
  10. Corin laughed, picking up the dice. They were smooth in his hands, and warm. Well-used. “No regrets…a good way to live, in here.” He made as if to roll the dice, then froze. He reached up and touched his earpiece. For the first time since Astra had seen him, his grin faded fully. Then it snapped back into places. ”Ah,” he said ruefully, “it seems that I’ve forgotten my place, sweet. If you want to gamble, you’ll need to do it with him.” He nods at the man in the corner with a wink. “But if you ever want to make a trade…that’s why I’m here.” He sets the dice neatly back on the counter. They now show double sixes. “May your luck turn soon, Astra.” He nods deferentially. It’s almost a bow, but not quite. The octopus doesn’t let go immediately, but it’s wounded. After several more slashes, it drops him, and he manages to stumble away. As he’s walking, he sees @LightRinger and @Spark of Hope.
  11. The verdant spores stopped falling, then it rained for a minute, now it’s night and getting cold. Yes! Please fight!
  12. Two things!!

First, I just saw that I’ve won 100 days and I have 107 followers…y’all are literally the best, I love you all so much :P

    Second…

    I made a mistake a bit ago.

I watched up to episode 4 of Loki S2.

All the episodes that are kinda boring and sad.

And then I didn’t finish it (I don’t remember why).

But today, that mistake has been remedied!! Athena showed up at my house after school (I didn’t go) and we watched the rest of it.

And y’all I forgot how much I love Loki, both in marvel and in actual mythology, 10/10 great way to spend my afternoon.

Also I just gotta say (spoilers for the last episode)

    Spoiler

Loki pulls off a mistcloak pretty storming well.

      Lol awesome!

      And you’re very welcome :D

  13. A man with blacker than black hair stands behind the counter. “Welcome,” he says, “to The Casino. How may I help you?” Gavin nods once. I need your influence, not your pride. “I-I-I’ll t-try.” A voice he doesn’t recognize starts speaking in his ear, almost as if it’s right next to him. But there’s no one there. “One kill,” it says. “One kill, and I’ll get you water and a way to filter more.”
  14. The door opens.
  15. Beneath the spores is a sharp silver knife (which doesn’t seem to be affecting them through the glass, for some reason) and a long range water gun that looks like a nerf gun.
  16. The pile bursts into a pile of spikes, nearly twice as tall as the casino. All around, vines are twisting and growing dangerously. But they avoid the casino.
  17. The box is stubborn, very stubborn, but it eventually springs open, revealing vials of multicolored spores. It creaks ominously, but doesn’t open. “I know,” he said, “and none of my gold is real.” He winked at her. “But we could play anyway.” He watched her dice spinning, spinning, spinning…double ones. Not very lucky, was she? Of course, most lucky people didn’t end up here. But she wasn’t dead yet. She’d made it into the casino. And if she made the right deal…he could give her anything she needed. It works, and the lid flies off. Inside are several bottles of multicolored spores. Gavin opens it. His hair is combed neatly. He’s wearing a perfectly cut, dark green suit. And there isn’t a single splatter of paint on his hands. (Well, maybe there’s one. Or two. But they’re mostly gone). He doesn’t say anything.
  18. I love the Manti, UT temple (it looks like a castle, and when the sun is setting behind it just right...it feels like a whole other world). But I don't think I've ever felt the spirit as strong as at the Nauvoo temple.
  19. *hugs a ton* If you want to talk, my PM's are always open.
