  1. I think thaid needs to be killed by mordite for his plot to work. Also, Platypus has fought giants, he's used to disarming foes far more powerful in strength than he is, so disarming him wouldn't be a problem. I just wanted permission from both you and Thaid before I did this. He'd get it back too because it would be too crushing for Platypus to keep the weapon he used to kill probably his best friend on TLT. Also, Thaid's mansion doesn't really have keys as far as I'm aware. And if there are, he probably has multiple sets. Platypus would have one to explain how easily he gets into the mansion. But Desolation could probably have at least one set of keys. This is all speculation though. I mean, Platypus would still take the chance to kill subversion, especially if she attacked him first. Look, he's been doing fine for the past however long he's been here. It's time for some character trauma and I love Platypus. He came about as a joke between me and my brother. Plus it gives me a chance to use more of my other characters in different ways, and do things with Platypus he otherwise wouldn't do. I don't want him physically injured though. That'll come later *ominous grin*
  2. well, it's not because it's easier, but because it's more fun
  3. i do harmony, I don't like melody. it's less fun
  4. Platypus would maybe be stronger as he's gonna be mad at Desolation for interupting what he sees as a sacred moment between friends, so that would at the very least nullify the fatigue, maybe even make him stronger. But man, he is gonna go to his lair and crash after this Plot-arc finishes. "Shut up!" he snaps at her. "You don't even know what regret is, much less how hard it is for those of us that feel it to subdue it!" i know I am. And he's not even my character! Platypus nodded. "Wait. Won't you be vulnerable as I do this? Guess I'll only get one shot then." He carefully wove the Narration one last time, then prepared to use it. Finally, he convinced himself that he had no regrets. Thaid lived a good life and would be ok. Alright, here's what I think should happen, in part to fuel Platypus' next arc. Thaidakar would be drastically weakened by the tearing from his Author, allowing Desolation to almost kill him, but at the last second, Platypus would intercede with Vengeance. The blades would lock and Platypus would disarm Desolation and use the blade to kill Thaid. He doesn't know that being killed by Mordite, not being killed by Desolation is the cause of what Thaid's afraid of. Thoughts? Oh, and I'm gonna be off soon. YM tonight
  5. I summoned a demon in orchestra! her name was Anna! (don't tell her I said that)
  6. Platypus collapsed, groaning as his Narration reversed. Then he got up. He went through the same steps, feeling more determined than ever, deep down feeling more disgusted than ever. If he succeeded, he would never forgive himself. But if he didn't the thread would fall. He yanked harder on the weaving this time, feeling it start to settle into place, before collapsing. Tears welled in his eyes. "I'm trying Thaid. I'll keep trying for as long as I can. It would help if I knew why this was needed. But I'll try, even without that knowledge." And so he tried, time after time after time, each time getting more bitter that he couldn't do it, each time getting more disgusted with himself that he was trying to kill a friend. But he kept trying. He'd promised Thaid, and he would keep his promises. He would deal with the acid eating him up inside after he had done what Thaid had wanted.
  7. not enought time *shrug*
  8. i can play both, but mainly upright
  9. no, i could be, but I'm not. I play bass
  10. darn, I was so ready for the heartbreak/regret plot arc, ending with [REDACTED]. Just in case I still do it
  11. "I told you on Page One. I need to kill Thaid." "I will try." Gritting his teeth, he Narrated. His Narration was impossibly fine, even better than when he had been fueled by Plot. He would not, could not feel regret, so he focused all his attention on the reason. Thaid knew this was needed. He wove a web, no, a tapestry. He looked at the strands coming together and almost stopped he was so surprised. "Goodbye Thaid," he said as he came to the end of his weaving. "It has been an honor. Til we meet again." Then he yanked the last thread into place. Ha! the ending gives me a fail-safe. If you don't want Thaid actually dead, I can say that Platypus ended up feeling regret. @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  12. no, that's yellow-orange
  13. "I have ideas, but no occasion to test them." basically Narration is changing reality. yeah
  14. you're still on page 1 probably without a way to get back. And this is supposed to be meaningful.
  15. or the orangagoose its an orangutan mixed with a goose
  16. Sorry, I had a response written up with quotes but it got deleted. Here we go anyway. Platypus jumped on, and killed the Root Dragon. "That's two killed now. 170,284 to go," he mutters. Then he groaned. "Really? Authors being AFK is the worst. I am mad at Nameless, but he dies and knows it, so I'll forgive him. I would love to fight him, but I have stuff to do. I'll be back for a fight later, Nameless, maybe training if you're willing. Plus I'll probably need to take the Once-Author and Hacob back. But for now... I have a mission." Platypus disappears, reappearing in Thaidakar's mansion. "Thaid. I've failed. Desolation has the Mordite. One last time, are you sure this is the way?" Platypus raised Vengeance, tears streaming down his face, reliving when he had to kill his mentor. "Please. Please say there's another way." @Thaidakar the Ghostblood
  17. she'll be coming round the goat when she comes.
  18. i think it's funny
  19. I'm confused, whose side is Nameless on? Platypus muttered a curse under his breath. He had been hoping that would help. On the other hand... Vengeance began to glow at his side. "Don't insult my friends. Also, I'm fact-checking that with Moni when I get back."
  20. Platypus groaned. "Really Nameless? I don't want to fight you, but I will. Thaidakar wasn't able to kill me when we fought. What makes you think you can?" Platypus Narrated a Blade into Hacob's hand in addition to the Narrationdagger in his other hand. Hacob charged in, covering Platypus as he fought. There is a secret in the Narration. I wouldn't recommend absorbing it if I were you... He Narrated the suppression field away. "Indeed I have Desolation. Extra fun, right?"
  21. you filthy animal! that's what it was, not what I'm calling you.
