The platypus ignores the fight, and walks over to the Arbiter. "And what is it you want," he asks, slowing down time around them so that Athena can't hear their conversation.
"I mean, you did. He's definitely thought about it, but between Vengeance, Mordite, and Luxblade, Platypus has plenty, and I have Plot-Significance and my Narrationblade, so he doesn't really have a character he wants to send.
The platypus walks outside and stumbles before catching himself. "This is probably not the work of Athena. It seems more like the work of Shing-zu-tael. Eddie, how many freaking gods do you have trying to kill you?! Keeping you alive is going to be harder than I thought. But I have to, or..." He shudders, apparently lost in thought. "It would be... very bad. I've seen it."
I charge you with theft. I get the sandwich back, then they lock you up with a guard.
You did not say that, you said that the safe ate the sandwich, which isn't possible. I am friends with Thaid, and so he gives me the sandwich.
The platypus appears in the safe house. "I thought I told you to leave me," he growled, advancing menacingly on xq. "I had a plan, but now it's ruined." His blade soars into the air, charging towards xq, stopping right before it hits him. "What do you have to say about it."
"I! TOLD! YOU! TO! LEAVE!" he shouts in between dodging attacks. "THE ... ME!"
The rest of that sentence couldn't be heard over the clashing of swords.
