Ash shook her head. “Do you?”

Ash sighed a little. “Okay that’s alright.” She held out the tablet. “Any ideas what we should search for tonight?”

“Feeling any different?”

Ash watched as Insa faded from the room, then vanished herself and reappeared in the library. She sat down on a couch and pulled out a tablet. ”Turing?”

“Nice to meet you Aventine.” Insa set back off down the hallway. Insa entered Ash’s office with a smile. “Hello Dr. Ashlynn Marie!” Ash looked up from the reports with a weary smile. “Hello Insa. I was just wondering how your research was going.” Insa’s smile faded. ”Not great.” She sighed and flopped onto a chair. “I haven’t been able to find out anything new. It’s like he managed to keep all outsiders away. And the fact that there’s nothing probably means he’s still in power. Maybe Saar was right. Maybe I should have gone back Palli. Maybe this isn’t the place for me. Everyone else has mounds of stuff to do. Even Bookwyrm. He’s gone off to do something else. And I’m just here. Doing stupid research.” Ash sat silently for a moment. ”Whatever the case is now, Saar was never right. You weren’t ready yet.” She stood up and walked over to her bookshelf. “Your research isn’t stupid. Even if you haven’t found much you’ve learned from what you haven’t found.” Ash pulled a flat box off the shelf. “I would suggest continuing you research. But what you do next is entirely your decision. Saar can’t control you anymore.” She set the box in Insa’s lap. Insa opened it as Ash continued talking. “Whatever you decide to do next, don’t do it alone.” Inside the box sat a cream dagger. Insa picked it up and stared at it blankly. Memories flashed through her head. Making the knife with Emma. The security it gave her to have it with her. The hopelessness that had flooded her after giving Calano bad news right before the final fight with Kaos. The panic as she realized that Saar could easily force her to end it all. An electric buzz filled Insa as lightning and electricity wrapped around her arm and filled the grooves of the dagger lighting it up and electric blue. I’m in control now. She looked up at Ash, who smiled. “Do you really think I could do this?” Ash nodded. ”Before you rush off you should get some sleep.” Ash stood up and walked over to Insa’s chair resting a hand on her shoulder. The world around Insa faded to black. When the color return she was in her room on her bed. The exhaustion she had felt earlier returned but stronger. She laid down, closed her eyes, and quickly fell asleep.

Insa smiled. “Thanks for the reminder.” She started to walk away and then turned back. “Oh and I’m sorry but what’s your name? I don’t believe we’ve met before.”

“I was doing some research in the library but the doctor called me to her office so that’s where I’m going.”

Insa gave a quick glance around, "Hi." She gave a small wave.

Insa wandered through the clinic's library. A wave of exhaustion washed over her as she sat down on a couch and put her head in her hands. While the library had a vast array of information she had barely been able to find any that she wanted. Insa sighed and reached into her pouch. She pulled a tablet which she had just downloaded the library's whole database onto and started her search again. A notification popped up onto her screen. Ash: Stop by my office please. She sighed, put the table back into her pouch and headed towards the infirmary. @Spark of Hope

Ash nodded. “Really if you need anything, anything at all, let me know. You can walk down the hall or push that button.” She pointed to a red button on the wall and then turned and left.

Ash smiled. “No. I just have a lot of paper work to sort through. It’s what I get for taking a vacation as one of the few staff in the infirmary.”

Ash tried to hide her slight disappointment. “Ah. Well if you need anything I’m just down the hall.” She turned to leave.

“How may I help you? Are you looking for someone? Or something?”

Ash heard the sounds of people in the infirmary and stood up quickly. She moved briskly until she found them. "Hello?"

Ash sat at her desk slowly making her way through tons of paperwork and reports. She was trying to make sure there wasn’t anything current that she needed to take care of but she’d been at it for hours and was starting to develop a headache. She groaned. “Why must this exist?”

I had one once where the government was doing population control by sticking big families in death camps where they released giant wolves. There were many familes I knew there. Including @The Bookwyrm’s. Everyone except for me and one of the other young women in my ward died. I woke up in the same position I fell asleep in and then had to go check to make sure everyone was alive. Another time I had one where I was married with a toddler. We hid from something in our garage for a while then drove away and stumbled upon a mass Eire at my high school. Then almost died in a shooting. No idea who my husband was didn’t look like anyone I knew. Then at girls camp last week I saw a dude drive by who looked like him. It was creepy and terrifying. Had another one where it was WWIII but it was being fought in the style of WWI (which if you don’t know a lot of people died) and they were drafting by high school. And my high school got drafted and I was freaking out cause I thought I was gonna die and then I couldn’t find @TheGreatSnail and we were about to leave. Then I saw her and she was like “Oh, yeah I knew I would have a panic attack so I opted out.” And I was like “what? That was an option?” And she was like “yeah good like try not to die.”
