  1. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) Ash stood up. "Alright let's go!" She grabbed Jinx's hand and put other hand in the airspace near Turning. The room faded away. Clinic: Library (Still Ash) On the left and right them appeared mazes of bookshelves and a digital catalog before them. "Welcome to the library!" Palli: The Shed (Insa) Fine. If you weren't a hero here, then let me take you to where you were one. The world faded to black. Palli: The Camp (Insa) Insa collapsed in an open field. When she looked up all she saw was ruins. Houses that had been ripped apart. Makeshift shelters. Bloodstains. She closed her eyes in an attempt to block out the memories but they came anyways. Claws breaking through walls, the screams and the blood. The sword she had instinctively made as the danger got closer. Being dragged away from her family. The feeling of the sword slicing open her back. Being forced to watch. "No!" Insa opened her eyes. "Please! Saar!" There was no response Panic filled her. "Please." She stood up. "Please come back."
  2. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) Ash turned back her attention to Jinx. "So, shall we head to the library?" Palli: The Shed (Insa) A few months later and Insa once again was in a stupid meeting. She sat on a stool and stared at the ground, trying as hard as she could to avoid eye contact. "Are you even paying attention to us?" She nodded. "Prove it." She pointed at one person and mimicked their voice, "'You can't just go around and get mad at people because they're being stupid.'" She switched who she was pointing to, "'It's going to come back and get you sometime soon.'" She pointed at another person,"'You need to have more control over your temper.'" Insa looked up, her expression dark and angry. "How many of you care that Ian is dead? I found him. I was the one who had to tell his parents that his body was practically in their backyard. How long do you think I've held back tears and my temper? How many times in the past hours do you think I've stopped myself from yelling at you? How could you all move on so fast? How could you all forget?" They all sat silently. Outside dark gray clouds started to gather. One of the boys stepped forward. "You've never given us a reason to believe you weren't fine. We ju-" "I found him! I was supposed to be protect him!" Heavy rain started. "And yet here we are. Discussing how I can once again be used as a weapon and a shield. How my abilities can be put to the test. Moving on like nothing happened. Like he wasn't tortured. Like somehow everything is normal. Everything is fine." A large crack of thunder sounded right outside. "I'm done. Leave." "But Insa the storm." "I said leave." *** The clouds faded away and the present was once again visible. The next time you came out here. You were running for your life. Do you remember now? Insa bit her lip trying to hold back tears. I didn't forget. Don't you see how you were a hero. Everyone in that group is dead. And its my fault.
  3. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) "I won't let you. I'm going to help you."
  4. Palli: The Shed (Insa) Another few years passed by. Insa sat on the floor of the shed. She stared at the ground to avoid eye contact. Let's see. I'm sitting in the shed with people I don't really know. And we're attempting to plot a rebellion way bigger than I signed up for. She stood up. "Listen. I can do some little things. But the sorts of stuff you all have been bickering about for the past hour... we can't do that. It's a danger to many many innocent people." They all stared at her. "C'mon. If we do it right it will be fine. And what could possibly happen to make this fail." Insa rolled her eyes. That's what they had all thought last time. And then something had happened and for the first time in 3 years she'd lost control again. "We were caught not that long ago. Ian's still missing. It's too dangerous." The next day Insa found Ian dead in the forest by his house on her way to check in on his mom. He had obviously been tortured. The look on his face scared Insa. She started to wonder how long he had lasted and how much he had let slip before they killed him. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) "We'll figure it all out. It just takes time."
  5. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) Ash looked thoughtful for a moment. "I doubt it. Never seen a dead person appear the way you are. And one a person is dead I've always lost the ability to help them. Though I suppose it could be possible. I highly doubt it though." Palli: The Shed (Insa) TIme sped up again. Insa sat alone at the counter, carefully scratching a pattern into the hilt of a dagger. It was the same pattern engraved on the coin her dad had made for her so long ago. She was 15 now. Today was her birthday. And her dad had been badly burned the day before. It had been her fault. She'd lost control of her abilities and shocked him. A knock on the door made her jump. She made her way across the shed and opened the door. "Ah, Insa." The same man from the last memory stood. He was older now too of course. Behind him stood his son. "Hello Mr. Laurier." The man motioned to his son. "This is Ian. I'm sure you've met." Insa gave him a quick nod. The last time she had interacted with him, he had dumped a pitcher of muddy water on her new clothes and called her witch. "We have some information for your father is he around." Insa hesitated before shaking her head. "Unfortunately he was not feeling well this morning. I'm the only one here." "I'm sorry to hear that. Could you pass along a message for us?" "Of course." "Great. Tell him we have an idea." Insa nodded. "I'll be sure to tell him." People were constantly bringing ideas to her dad. Most were pretty much immediately vetoed. But sometimes one went through and put into place. Nothing was ever satisfactory. Mr. Laurier smiled. "Thank you. I hope your father feels better. Let us know if you need any help." They both turned and left, leaving Insa at the door staring as they walked away.
  6. Clinic: Ash's Office "That's a very nice name. I like it. How do you feel about going to the library to see if we can find more information to help Turing? You can look at some books and such for yourself while we are there?" @Anguished_One
  7. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) Ash nodded slowly. "Well Jinx. What do you say we go to the library and see if we can find anything so we can keep helping..." She trailed off. "What would you like to be called?" @Anguished_One
  8. Palli: The Shed (Insa) Years seemed to pass by in a few moments. Now the image was of a slightly older Insa. About 8. Her dad stood by the door talking to a man in a green outfit which Insa found rather silly. She crouched behind the counter and tried to contain her giggles as she listened in on their conversation. "There must be something we can do!" The man's voice was loud and angry. "Anything we could do now would be incredibly dangerous for our families." Her dad's voice was calm and cool like it always was. He was rarely angry. "What about your little girl? Can't she do crazy things? We could train her! Soon she would be a hero! People would love that!" Insa stopped giggling and pulled farther back behind the counter. This wasn't the first person to talk to her dad recently about her little lights. She had accidentally zapped one of her friends with one a while ago and since then it seemed to be all people wanted to talk about. "No." "But Tadh-" "I said no. My daughter will not be a weapon. And she will not use her abilities unless absolutely necessary." His voice had become very loud and angry. He paused before taking a deep breath. "I'm sure I can find another option for you, I just need time." The door shut very loudly. Insa stayed put out of fear. Her dad walked over and then crouched in front of her. "Insa. Were you eavesdropping again?" Insa scooted as far away as possible and nodded. "You need to stop doing that okay?" She nodded again. They sat in silence for a few moments. "Dad?" "Yes?" "Why do people keep asking you about me?' He sighed. "Come here." Insa crawled into his lap. Her dad wrapped his arms around her. "They're desperate Insa. They want a solution to their problems and their looking in all the wrong places." "Are they gonna keep talking to you about me?" He looked thoughtful for a moment. "Probably. But as long as you are with your mother, your brother, your sister, and I, you'll be safe. It'll be okay." Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) "Hm." Ash looked down at Jinx. "What do you say we go to the library and see if we can find information to help." She glanced back up at the lights. "I'm sorry if this is rude, but what or who are you? I don't think you ever told us. And its important for my records and in order to provide you with the proper help." @Anguished_One
  9. I get to go tour schools for show choir!!!

Starting with a middle school.... with historically mean children.... yay?

Also I think the weather won't scare me too much as long as it doesn't hit while I'm at the middle school or driving around.

  10. (As of now unnamed): The Shed (Insa) Insa nearly fell but caught herself on a counter. I wasn't ready yet. I was though!! That's not how this works though. You need to wait until I'm ready. Insa looked around the shed. A flood of memories filled her head but Insa pushed them away. Most weren't the happiest. You remember this place right? Of course. How could I forget? Gray clouds filled the shed. Let's just make sure you remember all the important parts. Images filtered through the clouds. *** 5 year old Insa sat eagerly on a small chair in the corner. She watched wide eyed as her father worked at the small forge he had managed to fit in the shed. After a little while he looked up and motioned for her to come over. She hopped out of her chair and rushed over. "What did you make today?" He handed her dime sized pieces of metal. Each had a similar but clearly different pattern engraved on it. "One is for you and one is for your mother." "Oh." Insa traced the patterns with her small fingers. "I want to be like you. I want to make pretty things too someday." Her dad laughed. "When you're older I'll teach you." He gave her a quick hug. "Why don't you go show your mom?" "Okay!" Insa ran off.
  11. Clinic: Ash's Office (Ash) Ash smiled. "I'm glad that helped. Is there anything else I can do to help?" Clinic: Insa's room (Insa) I'm gonna start looking for Saar. Something tells me this won't be short. Please be careful. Insa looked around her room. She didn't have much in here. It was mainly just somewhere she went when she didn't want to be around people. Now that the boy is gone we could meet up... To talk? I guess we can do that. Insa sighed. She quickly shoved somethings into a bag and then vanished from her room.
  12. I want to be mean to you for this but my tired brain is worried that someone is gonna take it seriously so I'll just quote it and let it give you a notif this time.
  13. So... remember how I was doing some choreography?
    Maybe you don't that's fine.

    Well now its tech week.

And we put it with the band for the first time yesterday.

Turns out the band has 7 extra measures.

That I had to come up with choreo for.

And I think I've got most of it.

However what in the world am I supposed to do with the measure where the band just doesn't play anything??

There's literally nothing happening for that measure.

And I don't want them to just stand there.

I don't want to just stand there. I have to dance this too.

If anyone has any ideas please give. Cause that's all I got left.

Just sort of what we do in show choir. Thats where most of my stuff comes from.

I'm thinking maybe I'll just do like a faux ending. And we'll pose and go  back into it?

  14. Clinic: Ash's Office "Did that help?" Clinic: Lobby Insa stood there for a moment. I need to think. She spun around and headed to her room.
  15. Clinic: Ash's Office Its just broken. Damaged. Can we fix it? My magic can help at the very least but I'm not sure how to fully restore it. "I'm gone send another light. Hopefully it should help." Another bar of golden light moved around the lights. It moved around and did it's absolute best to heal as much as possible.
  16. Clinic: Ash's Office Ash nodded again. "Okay. I'm gonna use something to scan and see what I need to do okay? It shouldn't hurt you." A golden beam of light, about 2 feet long, moved around and through the different points of light. Alright my friend what do we got? One moment.
  17. Clinic: Ash's Office "Who and how? I want to help but I need to know who and how."
  18. Clinic: Ash's Office Ash nodded. "Yes! Yes. Help. I want to help."
  19. Clinic: Ash's Office Ash had kept rocking Jinx through the conversation. But she had been so focused on listening that she hadn't realized the lights were disappearing. She looked up and realized they were leaving. "Wait! I can help both of you. That's my job. I'm a doctor. My job is to fix people. I just need to know a little more. Don't go yet!" @Anguished_One
  20. Clinic: Ash's Office "What hurts? How can I help you not hurt?"
  21. Clinic: Ash's Office "How?" Ash looked around the room "I want to help. How can I help? What's wrong?" She kept rubbing Jinx's back and started to rock a little again.
  22. Clinic: Ash's Office Ash started to rub her back slowly. "How can I help you?"
  23. Clinic: Ash's Office Ash rushed over and grabbed Jinx again. She did her best to keep her voice calm and even. "What do you want?"
