    "Because he's not a good person. Not a good person at all." She stood up. "And I'm sure you came here guns blazing." "I'm sure he's done something or moved her somewhere, but we should check the rest of the house."

    Insa frowned slightly at the spot he had previously occupied. "Elan, I found Gem!" She knelt next to Gem. "Gem, I need you to be honest with me. Did he touch you at all?" @Ancient Elantrian

    Insa smiled sweetly. "You have no legal right to kick me out." She continued past him to wherever Gem was. She motioned to him. "Well, would you look at that, there's one of my patients!"

    Insa smiled and opened a portal through the door. She walked right in. "I really appreciate you being such a reasonable person."

    "Sir, how old is she?"

    Insa smiled condescendingly back at him. "Unfortunately for you, she's already been admitted as a patient. So the only thing you can do right now is hand her over. And then if you truly want to, you can come to the Clinic, and there might be some paperwork you can do, depending on how much she needs the treatment we're providing to possibly remove her. But until then, we are her legal guardians."

    "Wonderful! My name is Insa. I work for the Insanity Clinic. We have reason to believe that several of our patients may be currently in your home. Which, unfortunately, is a restricted location. So I've been sent to collect them. We have..." she reached into her bag and pulled out a piece of paper. Should someone look closer at it, they would see a legal document that the Clinic had full permission from government authorities to do whatever was necessary for the retrieval of patients. "...all the necessary legal documentation to retrieve them. Which includes searching your house, and that's what we're here to do. I would love to answer any questions you have before I do so. But please rest assured, I will do so."

    "Hello sir! Would you happen to be the head of this household?"

    Insa put on her most kind and sweet smile. She then knocked politely one more time for good measure and good luck.

    "Alright then, let's go!" Insa stepped through the portal. She now stood on the porch of the manor home. She knocked as politely as possible. @Spark of Hope

    "It's alright." Grabbed a tote bag and put Aventine's records, the map, and some of the other records from the library in it. She held it out so Elan's could be put in there. "She's your acting guardian, and the Clinic recognizes it, so he should be covered." Insa made a new portal. It looked a little unstable with a few larger sparks flicking off. Insa frowned. "This should drop us at her dad's house. Like on the front porch. We're gonna start by playing into the medical side of the Clinic and hopefully that should get her back. At least get us to the Clinic and then we can get her out that way."

    As Insa flipped through the records, she grew more and more concerned. If this situation had anything to do with Aventine's family, and that was the most likely scenario, this was not a good position for any of them. And Elan and Gem seemed to know very little, so they were more likely to accidentally get really hurt. Insa slipped a map into her pocket as she stood up and headed back towards the portal. If she remembered correctly, most lords, even the low ones, lived in pretty nice manors that were usually referred to by their name. But almost all of what she knew came from early history, and it had been a long time. Hopefully, the name would help them find the right place. She changed to portal's output to a closet full of workers' uniforms and quickly changed into one. Then she made a new portal back to the records. "Find everything okay?"

    I made banana bread. 

    I'm fairly certain I actually cooked it through completely. We'll find out in a little while, I suppose.

    Also, I went on a blind date yesterday. 

    It was a lot of fun.

    Erikell. Insa opened a portal into the library and stepped through quickly. She summoned over a small glowing light librarian and gave it some quick directions. It sped off quickly, leaving Insa alone for a moment. She dropped into a chair and sighed. It was the few moments like these where she actually missed Saar. Saar had had a bad habit of dropping helpful hints at the most convenient moments. Of course, those hints would later be expected to be "paid" for with awful favors. And that's where any positive feelings for Saar were dramatically thrown into a fireplace and incinerated into ashes. The glowing librarian returned a little slower than it had left under the weight of the records it was carrying. It thumped them down onto a nearby table. Insa sighed again and sat up. She had asked for any records from Scadrial that could maybe be helpful, and the library had delivered. As it always did. She began quickly flipping through the records, hoping for any helpful details.

    Insa smiled. "That'll be great. I'll go look for Aventine's." She went through stacks of records until she found the A's. Fairly simple, considering A is usually the first letter in the alphabet. After some quick but careful searching, she pulled out Aventine's file. She opened it to find her last name. @Spark of Hope

    Insa followed. They were in a room full of records. “Do what you needed to as fast as you can and meet me back here. If you’ve got nothing help me find y’all’s records. Aventine’s, Elan’s, and Gem’s. They’re all in alphabetical order. It should be a folder with the names on them.”

    Insa glanced at the door, “Alright.” She opened a portal. “Let’s get going. I don’t want worse things to happen cause we’re taking our time.” @Edema Rue

    Insa nodded. “I understand.” “We should go after him though right?”

    “And what about Gem?”

    Insa nodded. ”Alright, we’re gonna stop real quick at the Clinic and then we’re gonna check there first.“ Insa snapped and the nicer clothes she had been wearing were replaced with a simple t-shirt and jeans. She grabbed a leather looking jacket from a closet. “Anything you two need before we go?”

    “Do you know where she’s from?”

    “Alright, what do you know about her past?”

    “Like she’s not responding or you don’t think your message is even reaching her?”

    Insa nodded slowly. "Okay. Do you guys ever communicate mentally? Like telepathically?"
