  1. Sharpie stares at her. That was two in one night. He had to admit, it wasn't really something he knew how to understand. Why would they want him to live? They should hate him. They should want him to die. Everyone wanted the Sharp's to die, that's what he'd been taught. That's what he'd been trained for. How could a truth so integral to who he was simply . . . not be true? He found himself hesitating to kill her. He shouldn't kill someone who wasn't trying to kill him. That . . . that was wrong. And yet, he knew he couldn't afford to let her live. She would just die somewhere else, some other way. The game makers would make sure of that. He closed his eyes. He didn't want to do this. At least he could give her a painless death, that was the best he could do. "I- I'm so sorry, I'll take care of your family, I promise." He hit her hard on the head with the handle of his scythe. A head injury that would kill her without blood. (I'm not an expert on this stuff, but that would work right? If not we can change it). Sharpie took a few deep breaths, his mind spinning. He touched his pack, where the doll with silver eyes made a small lump. What was he doing? What was he really doing here? That's right. Clarity flowed into his mind. He was completing his sacred calling, the duty placed on his shoulders by his family. Revenge.
  2. hmmm I think your art has the potential to be seen more in the gallery, because gallery images pop up on the side of the shard's homepage: That being said having a thread could also have it's benefits if you plan on posting lots of art. Using the gallery, you can organize your art into albums that are book specific, so that's something to consider. Ultimately it's up to you. Personally I post my fanart in the gallery, and then I have my personal non-Brandon related work in a thread in the Creative Corner forum.
  3. I believe Tress is no longer considered in a spoiler period (you can tell because the forum for it is no longer in the spoiler section of the Shard's forum list). I don't know specific dates for spoiler periods though, you'll have to ask someone else. As for titles, it should be fine to post a title with spoilers if it's in the book's designated forum. For outside of that forum (like here in the fan works) I would tread lightly, and avoid spoilers, but it wouldn't necessarily be against the rules to mention a spoiler. Tress is no longer in a spoiler period, and so can be freely discussed outside its forums. For things still in the spoiler period, referring to spoilers outside of the designated forum would get you in trouble (currently that's Yumi and Sunlit Man). Just generally be respectful and a glance at the spoiler zone here on the shard will tell you what books you can't talk about outside of their forums. Also, you can post images in the gallery if you'd like (it's an option when you create a new post) but having an art thread is cool too! I think the drawing is beautiful!
  4. "Perhaps she's sick? Can wraiths get sick? I suppose we can ask a wraith expert when we find one," he said as he started down the stairs. @Scars of Hathsin @The Honorable One
  5. Penn nodded. He glanced at the closet-stairway entrance thing (you know what I'm talking about), "Shall we move on then?"
  6. Penn quickly grabbed her hand before she floated too far out, and pulled her back over the edge. "Try to stay near us okay?" Penn shrugged. "I actually prefer crowds."
  7. "Yes," Pen said with a smile, "Considering we've been doing nothing but jump from to the other for the last while." "This is the Reshuk universe, I believe," he glanced up at the grey sky, not cloudy, just grey, "Which is fairly lucky for us, as universes go, there are less man-eating monsters in this one." They were standing on the roof of a utilitarian looking building, that had a wire railing along the edge that looked far to flimsy to save you from the several story fall. A closet-like structure on the far side of the roof probably opened up to a staircase. The building was made of cracked concrete which matched the grey sky swimmingly. Past the railing was a view of a large city, almost every building several stories tall. The structures were dull, with little color. Everything was made of pale concrete and unpolished metal. Neon colored signs lit everything with intense hues, several on each building. There were posters too, advertising various things, all in jarring colors. It was more tacky then beautiful, as if the city were in denial about how dull it really was. Hundreds of people passed on the street below, some in alien looking motorcars, others on foot. They all wore brightly colored clothing that was bulky and stiff. Penn's yellow suit would fit in well here (though he personally believed he was far more stylish).
  8. That's so sad, but he's in a good place now.
  9. Really? That's super interesting! They're pretty common where I live, my favorite is the cinnamon and raisin kind.
  10. Welcome! Yayayayayay another artist! I'm excited to see your art! What's your favorite kind of bagel?
  11. Sharpie avoids the stab by rolling out of the way, he then pulls himself up using his scythe. He backs away from her to breathe for a second. @Master if Magic

So go to notification settings, and then there should be a thing that says you get notifs for what everyone you follow posts, and you can change that and anything else you want there :)

  13. Sharpie doges both, but falls to his knees in the process. He decides to take advantage of this and grabs her legs to trip her.
  14. Sharpie takes another swing at the tribute, once again using the handle. @Master if Magic
  15. The dagger barely misses him. Sharpie dodges the scythe but throws himself off balance and falls to the ground.
  16. Do you ever just get so frustrated with something that on the one hand you want to rant about it for hours and on the other you just want to leave it alone?

I'm getting so close to being too tired to care anymore- which is probably good because I tend to care a little too much about what other people think.

    Spoiler

    welp that was vague.

I hope ya'll are having a good night, I have tomorrow off of school which is cool!

  17. Sharpie barely dodges the dagger and stumbles a little. He swings the scythe at her again, this time aiming to hit her with the handle.
  18. Sharpie snuck up to the source of noises he had been hearing, one of the last tributes. He ran at them with his scythe making a surprise attack. @Master if Magic
  19. Sharpie takes the doll, he stood there in shock for a few minutes. His mind felt numb . . . he hadn't expected that. Not at all. He pushes the doll safely inside his pouch, and moves on; this wasn't over yet. Sharpie continues sneaking through the forest, though the scythe does hinder his movement some.
