  1. "Good answer. If you could go any place, fictional or otherwise, where would you go and why, and who would be the first person you talked to?"
  2. "On a scale from 1 to 10, where 1 is terrible, 10 is also terrible, and 5 is really good, what is your favorite color of the alphabet?"
  3. "Sour, isn't it? Just like... your general disposition." His grin kept seeming to get wider. "So, what gave you your little philosophy?"
  4. He tsked softly. "So cold and tough. Hardened by years of hardship, until she taught herself that it wasn't worth caring anymore. What a tragedy. You really should try this, though." With careful aim, he stuck the slender stem into her mouth.
  5. He stared right back for a few moments, then whipped out a plant with a slender green stem and a small yellow flower atop it. "Want some sour grass? It tastes great."
  6. "One might argue that that type of commitment takes much more of a strong will than cutting yourself off from anyone and everyone who tries to approach you." He looked at her intently. "Not caring doesn't make you strong, it makes you a coward."
  7. "Not even remotely. Explain to me: Why do you think that caring about other people is weakness? My father, for one, is the most strong-willed person I know. He's also the most compassionate."
  8. "So you're just... generally opposed to empathy? We people are social by nature. 'Those who don't care for others should be taking time to care for themselves.'" He said the last words in a different tone that implied that they were not his own. "And why do you call her Evalyn, when she calls herself Haly?"
  9. "Wow, you're the forceful type. I can see why she doesn't like you. And, for who cares about romance... they do. Obviously. What, did you get your heart broken and now you're sworn off of romance for the rest of your life? I've known more than one person who said, that, but they always get over it eventually."
  10. "Well, we'll be in here for a while, so you can't ignore me forever. And honestly, I don't know if she'll want to leave with you. You don't both seem like you're on the best of terms. And then there's the romance." He said the last word with a wide grin, glancing over at Haly. "Honestly. It took almost no effort to get them to admit their feelings to each other."
  11. "Put up with what? It's an honest question!" Lerac walked after her.
  12. The mischievous grin came to Lerac's face again. "So. What motivates you?" Oh. And based on your reaction, I can assume the feeling was mutual. Well, good for the both of you. Bonum knows that boy could use some more love in his life. He told me about his time before coming to the Clinic, and well... it wasn't the best experience. It seems that since he lost Tristan and his home world, he lost some of himself as well.
  13. "Okay, just checking." TAAron looked at Sykel distrustfully. Lerac, on the other hand, went right up to the woman. "You're Haly's sister? Nice to meet you." He reached out to shake her hand, smiling jovially. Sad? Why would it be sad? And then awesome? That doesn't seem to fit together... never mind. I shouldn't be asking so many questions.
  14. Wow, that's amazing! I would ask you to draw one of my characters, but I never really spend enough time thinking about what they look like. For Antin all I know is that he's tall, has a medium-gray cloak, and has completely white skin but hair, nails, eyes, lips, etc. are all completely black.
  15. TAAron looked over at her nervously. "Um, alright. Was your sister coming?" Hello again, Haly. I heard that you and TAAron had a... discussion?
  16. Well, yes, I'm talking to Nameless. Why do you ask?
  17. Then, why are you on this mission instead of regenerating? Yes, how did you know? Malum is the only one with access to those... unique tools. I was created for the express purpose of dealing with Malum. I would likely be of little help otherwise.
  18. I hardly have a life. I already failed my mission to protect the world I came from. The least I can do is make a sacrifice for one of its few survivors.
  19. The trident would probably retain its ability to harm him. It just would lose... me.
  20. Well, I imagine I would give my own magic. The soul infused within the crystal.
  21. You seem very dedicated to saving TAAron, and that is very kind of you. But... I think I might be the one to make the sacrifice.
  22. Enough of you left? What do you mean by that?
  23. You mean your magic? You can give them that? Although, I don't think you should. It is a very useful ability.
