He laughed. Then, his eyes changed from frighteningly gleeful to shocked and confused. TAAron squirmed in his bindings, giving a muffled cry.
Lerac shook his head solemnly. "He did say that he couldn't attack you, didn't he?"
"I agree with your sister. One ought not to give up on their goals." His smile turned menacing in a way that was very unusual to see on TAAron's face.
"He probably is right. I have a pretty decent grip on your friend here. I've had him since... well, since our little conversation before entering the tower."
"Well, his life arguably had more value than yours does. Not that I cared about the man, but it is something for you to consider. And to answer your earlier question, no. I don't think I will be leaving you alone."
