  1. She turned to him, shaking her head. "There's nothing for me here."
  2. "You're welcome," she said quietly. "I think I'll get to be around for another week or so, by the way." @Rallohir
  3. "That's... not important. Nice to meet you, Michael."
  4. "I'm Vena. I, uh, healed Eddie earlier. I think I ran into you on my way out." @Experience
  5. She frowned slightly at the blush. "Okay. Um, thanks." She turned again and entered the car. @The Wandering Wizard @Edema Rue @Experience @The Bookwyrm @Aeoryi @Being of Cacophony
  6. As the walked, she changed her appearance to remove any signs of her breakdown, though she remained tense. Before entering the car, she turned back to Rallohir. "Do I look fine? I don't feel fine."
  7. "Uh... sure. Yeah. Let's go." She got up and started walking back to the group, more tense than she had ever been.
  8. Vena seemed at a loss. She just stared at him, a great deal of fear and confusion in her expression. "So what now?"
  9. "He was going to get rid of me anyway, once he was done with the case..." She froze. "He's ignoring me. Why won't he talk to me? I don't know what to do!" She seemed on the verge of panic.
  10. "...Thank you, I think. Why did you do that?"
  11. "...No, I don't think so. Why?"
  12. The Arbiter paused. "Right now, she's ready to go. I'm sure of it. But... I'll entertain you. I'll give her a week or so, without instruction or contact, to spend with your group. If by the time I check back, she still wants to leave, I'll take her." Without another word, Arbiter disappeared, and Vena took his place. She looked up at Rallohir, eyes still red, expression bewildered. "What did you do?"
  13. "Yes, but that's already done. Look, if she doesn't want to stay, I won't make her."
  14. He frowned. "That doesn't seem like a very good reason."
  15. "I'm asking because I need a reason if I'm going to let her stay around."
  16. Rallohir found himself unable to exit. There was some sort of invisible wall stopping him. "She's not gone yet," Arbiter remarked. "Honestly, I'm curious. This is the fastest a group has gotten attached to a form. Do you have any particular, personal reason?"
  17. He looked at Rallohir intently. "Why is it, exactly, that you don't want her to leave?"
  18. Yeah, it didn't go all that great. Though I have been participating in an open improv club and doing some in my acting class, so I've gotten better.
