  1. "You're... at the Clinic. Not much is happening right now. Do you have a room and all that yet?"
  2. TAAron saw the writing on the wall. "Uh... hey?"
  3. "Sure, why not?" TAAron continued smiling. He did that a lot. They arrived at the dining hall.
  4. He raised an eyebrow. "Whose? What kind?"
  5. "What, you really think I'm evil?" He laughed. "You don't need to answer that. I've been alright. Maybe a little bored, but mostly just glad to be able to rest. Maybe we could come up with some sort of project to fill the time, I don't know."
  6. "So, how have you been? Just bored?"
  7. "Sure. Let's eat together, and we'll work out what we can do from there." He got up, left the room, and began walking with her to the dining hall.
  8. "That's still doesn't make me special. Nor does it mean I'd be any good in... that sort of relationship."
  9. His smile grew. "You dropped another one, did you?" He put his own down. "Okay, then. What would you like to do?"
  10. "People are busy. There's a lot going on. It's sort of just a coincidence that we talked that first time."
  11. The door, ever helpful, opened for her. TAAron looked up from his own book and smiled. "Oh! Hi, Rue. What can I do for you?"
  12. TAAron idly wondered about the one-year reunion that was coming up soon.
  13. "...I can't do that anymore. Arbiter cut me off completely. I'm just like any other person now."
  14. She nodded. "I think you'd be disappointed. You think too highly of me. It really wouldn't do you any good."
  15. TAAron was in his room, reading. Over this past year, he had grown to be happier than he had been for a long time before.
  16. Eventually, Vena found her footing and stopped leaning on Rallohir. Notably, despite now having a physical body, she maintained an unusual level of grace. They walked in silence for a bit, but eventually she spoke. "You should know that I don't really think it relationship can be... what you might want it to be." @Rallohir
  17. She fought the urge to protest, and instead just focused on the landscape ahead. It really was quite beautiful.
  18. She smiled. After a moment, it faded slightly. "Are you okay? You must have thought I was dead. I know you... care about me, for some reason."
  19. "I-I'm gonna be a person, Rallohir," she said, taking the arm, pulling herself up, and leaning against him. "I g-get a chance."
  20. She shook her head, then tried to stand up. This only caused her to fall again, and she got even more covered with snow. Then, oddly, she began to laugh, joyously, looking up at Rallohir with tears in her eyes and snow in her hair.
  21. She didn't take the coat. "Y-you keep it. I'll b-be fine."
